Ikkan Kenjou!
It's the second of January, so we're taking a look at another historic SH Figuart! This time, it's Shinken Gold, the sushi seller Umemori Gentai! Not only was this the second SH Figuarts Super Sentai figure, but also the second SH Figuart to make it to US retail, along with Shinken Red. Skilled enough to take down an army of Nanashi in a split-second, Genta joined up with the Shinkengers to become their... sixth member. Check out our gallery after the jump! |

Great gallery Brainchild!
Another great figure with a superb range of accessories (perhaps better than Red given he can actually hold all of his things properly without aid). The only thing he was missing was a Sushi changer (I think).

Great Gallery!
Really? He was the first? I honestly never knew that. Somehow I always thought Figuarts Sentai started earlier than that. Though I guess so. There aren't really Go-Onger Figuarts. As much as I would love me some Go-Onger Figuarts. |

As far as I'm aware, the only reason SHF even started making Sentai figures was that Shinken Red won in a popularity poll for what the next figure should be about three years ago. That's probably why the rest of the team except Gold were web exclusives, and released after the show had finished airing.

It's cliche for 6ths or Reds to be the favorite. But dammit do I love Genta. He was the most fun character to have around on Shinkenger. He livened up the Shiba house. Awesome figure.

I won't argue with that, but I will say Ryuunosuke did that first.

Missed out on picking this one up through TRU. But I have a feeling it'll be around the $25 - $30 mark for a time to come so it's never been a priority for me.
I remember when these were dropping and the figures other than Red and Gold were SO expensive. Not a necessity, but I'd like to pick him up at some point. |
