Evolto has reached his full strength, and an all-out war breaks out between the Riders and their ultimate enemy. Sento has one last chance to save everyone, if he can tap into the full powers of the Pandora's Box...

The stream was choppy this week. I'll need to watch it again when the RAW comes out

Man, considering Evolt's pretty much guaranteed to die, and Sento and Ryuga are pretty much guaranteed to live given Zi-O, that'll be only a third of the show's Riders surviving. Haven't watched too many other series, so I was wondering, assuming the death's stick and it doesn't go for a Ryuki style ending, when was the last time a Rider series had that much of it's cast dead?

Kind of varies depending on what the story calls for. No show actively sets out to off characters, and it's more on how the story weaves itself overtime for what seems like certain areas call for to create dramatic tension and emotional crescendos or make audiences react. |

That was a pretty wild episode.
Rogue looking up through the smashed helmet was a great camera shot. The moment where Banjou had Evolto up against a tree and then hit him so hard the tree exploded was really cool. Gentoku standing there and casting the shadow of Rogue was really neat too. This show, every single episode has had little moments and camera-work or just...Directorial flair? ..that is really cool. Even the few episode I thought of as filler always had at least one or two interesting moments. I really can't believe it's almost over. It's come so far and at the same time it's gone by so quickly. Excited to see Zi-O start but sad to see Build heading for the door. |

It's really not that uncommon. If you're comparing it to American standards for children's shows, then it's a bit different, but for any place not America, it's not that uncommon at all. UK, Australia, China, Japan, etc. all have different things it considers acceptable or not for kids shows. Really even in America it varies more than people realize when you look at details of shows. Americans tend to get too distracted by aesthetics to really notice details. Take for example how many people keep trying to ship Cheetara from Thundercats to Lion-O (per classic series). That's literally pedophilia if you really think about it. Lion-O is under 13 years old. He's actually younger than Kit and Kat. That's an 80s example. There are more recent examples of really dark material that's considered "kids show fluff" but it's ignored because of various visual reasons. Build and Gaim and others have that same aspect. How silly and outlandish aspects are allows it more freedom to move. Because of that visual aspect and atmosphere. There's more involved in that too from a psychological standpoint in artistic choices etc. But it is a really interesting topic itself about perceptions and how much goes unnoticed because of various factors. Gaim had multiple human rider deaths, but they were all bad guys so the impact wasn't there for me like Build. Maybe if Takatora died then that would have been the one good rider. I can't think of any other good rider in Gaim to die. Zack almost died, but he survived his suicide bomb plan against Kaito.
Does Ankh from OOOs count as a death? He's not alive, but they do bring him back for movies then conveniently the coin can't hold together again which seems like a death after he does something heroic. |

Watching the preview makes me wonder if they are going to have a Sentou vs Soichi human fight to the death like Kuuga. While it wouldn't be original, I wouldn't mind seeing a savage beatdown that decided the fate of humanity. I think many people haven't seen Kuuga so it would be cool.
