Not even an insult there, I do legitimately wonder about that sometimes. |

Because Bandai of America doesn't have normal access to the original moulds, which are owned by Bandai of Japan.
And I don't mean they physically can't access them, they can, but they're prohibitively expensive to produce, hence why Bandai makes their own moulds because it's honestly cheaper than producing the Japanese ones. Not to mention the Legacy line, despite how many have issues with it, does sell well enough and they do put effort into those Megazords. (MMPR original notwithstanding, but it also wasn't a Legacy-original design) Basically, they could bring back the old Megazord moulds as part of Legacy and fancy them up, but those old moulds are expensive, don't have the same level of detail, and Bandai of America could just remake them slightly smaller with improved design and sculpts for no extra cost compared to reissuing outdated moulds. It isn't logical, from a financial standpoint, to reissue when remaking is just as effective. Now I don't know how far that extends. Like, for example, would reissuing the Wild Force Megazord be cheaper than remaking it? That's a pretty fancy Megazord that's size-wise more in line with modern releases and not as old as, say, the Astro Megazord. I don't know, but from everything I've read BOA either can't or won't use old BOJ moulds. Not as long as they can make their own. Granted, that's just based on what I know and have heard. But that's why I said unlikely. Never say never and all that, but as of current circumstances no. Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 03-18-2017 at 07:37 PM.. |

I actually have a question of my own now: In season 3 of MMPR in the two-parter where everyone hates each other, the Rangers actually defeat the monster with just their zords, not the Megazord. Has this ever happened before or since? I don't think I've ever seen any giant monster beaten with just zords.

- Tyrannosaurus destroyed Giant & Shellshock in Season 1. Pineoctopus was changed from Zyu and replaced with Megazord. Tyrannosaurus also wasted Hatchasaurus, but it regenerated afterwards. - Red Dragon finished Pipebrain alone & Lipsyncher with others in Season 2. White Tiger smashed a revived Hatchasaurus & some Wedding guest revivals. - Ninja Megafalconzord punched Marvo, but Red Ape finished the fight. Shogunzords defeated Crabby Cabbie & Sinister Simian & Battle Borgs smashed Slotsky. - Red Battlezord & Pyramidas won battles on their own. Super Zeozords beat some revivals during their debut. - Robo Racer succeeded several times, and Rescuezords won their debut battle without transforming or destroying. - Mega Voyager Zords beat a Monster before combining. - Galactabeasts won & Defender Torozord isn't a technical Megazord. - Max Solarzord was effective, with Supertrain support, during its debut. - Q-Rex won with Ranger support without being in Megazord Mode. - Wildzords were sufficient in their first battle. I won't spoil anything about the finale. - S.P.D. Zords wrecked some Robots. - Mystic Force beat a Monster and formed a Dragon Mode to beat another. - Jungle Fury Beasts joined their beams a time or two. - Samurai won their first without uniting. - Dino Charge destroyed Giant villains without merging. - Ninja Steel changed their first Zord battle from Ninninger so Ranger lasers won. Might have missed a few, sorry if I did. |

Am I the only one who noticed how interesting the Camera work in Time Force is? Its like they were aiming for big budget movie but it almost comes off as indie film...strangely I like it
