Very good episode. There was a lot of cool stuff with the supporting cast that really did make it feel like the show was taking Shinnosuke's death seriously and not rushing to his revival. It reminds me a lot more of when this happened on Kuuga than Fourze, since you have time to see all of the fallout. I really like how Nira seems to be folding into the main cast, too; he's been a major pain in the ass, but it's cool to see him coming around and helping out... -ish.
I liked the resolution of the Gou plot, too. The show did a nice double bluff there, with him obviously being brainwashed but Chase trying to comfort Kiriko by lying and saying that he was secretly undercover... only for him to actually be secretly undercover. Did not see that one coming. It really raised my respect for Gou... until he threw a hissy fit and almost tossed Brain's tablet into the river. Stay moronic, my friend. As for Type Trideron... meh. I'm not really feeling it. The bottom part is so solid that it reminds me of pajamas and the helmet is awful. If it had cool powers that would be one thing, but the composite tire gimmick looks really dumb (and I honestly thought the show had abandoned tire changes months ago). I did like its debut fight overall, though. I am so happy with how this show has been evolving. I think I've hit the point where most of the stink of the first half is washed off for me and I am legitimately enjoying the show a lot now. |

It's a little strange hearing the Krim talk out of the belt when he is doing the tire call outs but then swapping in to the human body for speaking lines.
...I breaks the logic for me. why swap when you can just say it now! The plot with gou is so stupid that I actually enjoy it. "Oh sorry guys I was just faking it so I could talk to Siri on this iPad...I didn't mean to let people get killed, I guess it wouldn't have hurt to let you know what I was doing" Lol...really? I'm glad the show is officially off the toy product phase of its run and back to trying to contuine a story each week Last edited by rego; 06-08-2015 at 01:00 AM.. |

Huh. With subs, the revival process actually made a fair bit more sense...
That said. One thing really bothers me: "I transformed right before the explosion. That's how I saved Kiriko. But let me give you a closer look." WHAT? The only form he'd have available to him is Tridoron itself. And transforming into Tridoron requires assimilating the car. So how in the hell did he transform if the car was still intact and on fire? I guess it's possible he could have removed the Tridoron Shift Car and quickly replaced it with Speed; I can believe that the act of him canceling his Transformation dissipated the fire, but how then did he protect her from the flames if he didn't have any other shift car abilities available to him? |

That was maybe the best thing in this episode. Because the tablet seems to be worth it, seems like Dr. Banno was forcefully digitized much like Krim, only that he has no free will anymore. |

The way I see it, the Tridoron can be turned into armor with Shift Tridoron, so Shinnosuke & Krim semi-transformed the cockpit to shield the passengers. Not a full transformation, but they have gone a step to transform into Type Tridoron without dissembling the Tridoron completely. Something like that.
