I said it was "OK".
We are treading deep in "OMG SENTAI FOOTAGE" territory and it shows with poor edits, story-telling that's forced to match the Sentai footage, and music selection that totally confuses me. Why are we scared of using the theme song IN the actual show? The "orchestrated" type tracks really remove the feeling the show is trying to give. "BUT KICKBACK" you say. "POWER RANGERS ALWAYS FORCES STORY IN TO SENTAI FOOTAGE". True - but we didn't get it nearly this bad in Dino Charge. I mean, we had episodes from Kyoryuger that focused on, like, Kyoryu Green, and they changed it to focus on Koda (Blue Ranger) instead. It's like they decided they were on a time budget or something and just rush/rush/rush this half-season. And the writing has gotten very ship-heavy. By that I mean they suddenly have two characters be "close" or "bff" with smiles that the ship-crews go crazy over. It feels like it's FORCED anymore, almost as bad as Arrow was doing it on the CW. All in all, Dino Charge/Dino Supercharge is going to end as a season that had so much promise and dropped the ball in the home stretch.

The more this season continues on, the more I think about this from the interview that you guys did:
Quote:
TokuNation: That’s so awesome. So! Let me ask you one last question. And I know you can’t give away too much but maybe just a tid bit for the fans who are really big in to Kyoryuger and are curious about a few things. And again you have to forgive fans because they dig through computer listings for toys and things like that. The Deathryuger character. Managed to match something with the toys called the Talon Ranger. Any hint on whether that’s something we might see.
Chip Lynn: About the Talon Ranger? TokuNation: Yes. Chip Lynn: Uhh….well…what can I say? I’ll give you a clue, but I can’t give you an answer. TokuNation: Oh hey that’s fine, we love clues. Chip Lynn: For people who are really familiar with Kyoryuger, they’re going to understand we have to use as much footage as we can. The elements that are in the footage a lot you simply have to use. We don’t have to use them the way that Sentai did, but we have to use them none the less. So I can’t say yes or no, but I can say things that are in the footage a lot we are going to use. But I can tell you that they’re going to be used differently than the Sentai. We're on episode 16 of season 2, ( 36 in all) and we're just now getting to the point of really learning about the zords and the energems. And we're STILL getting filler episodes and/or episodes with a convenient plot. Again, I feel like the villains part was more interesting in this episode. At least that part continues to drive the overall plot forward. Why not start showing the graffiti in the background of shots to lead up to this episode (explicitly pointing it out doesn't need to be done). Being this close to the end of the season, I don't think we should be getting these kinds of episodes (or the next episode, either). Ivan is still one of the best things about this show, though.
