Pulperize, destroy!
Swooshing spark! And we're back! The fruit just keeps droppping off the trees with this line. Once again the Arms Change line of Kamen Rider Gaim delivers. This time however it's an excellent double whammy! **Remember this is an arms set only, rider base bodies are not included so you'll need to own one of the 4 released so far. The AC04 2-pack includes the Pine(apple) & Ichigo (strawberry) arms and signature weapons. This set is intended to be used with Kamen Rider Gaim, but of course because of the awesome nature of the AC line they can be swapped to any rider! Each of these arms has currently only been used by Gaim, but the upcoming Gaim Hyper Battle Video promises a look at Ryugen Pine Arms and Baron Ichigo Arms! Check out what the figures look like in those arms here! To start with Pine (or rather Pineapple) Arms is big. A bit bigger than the spherical fruit arms released so far. Included with it is the Pine Iron flail weapn. Surprisingly this weapon actually has a nylon rope attached to the handle. It can actually be used as opposed to how cheaply it could have been made, with a hard piece of rubber or plastic. The only issue with this rope is that no riders hands can close tight enough to hold it perfectly. So some creative posing and wrapping of the rope is needed. The arms themselves are very nicely detailed, even if the green leafy bits wind up looking a bit silly on the helmet. The only issue I have with these arms is that the shoulder pads are not segmented as they are in show. On a real suit that would allow for a much greater range of movement to have them segmented. But since the shoulders can hinge out and up on the toy that isn't as necessary, though it would have been nice. As you can see this arms really looks best on Gaim but turns out surprisngly well on Zangetsu & Ryugen. As usual poor Baron doesn't quite match up. Ichigo Arms is a fun one. Like Banana it results in a cool asymmetrical armor, we need more of these and the Energy Riders will provide that. However unlike Banana, Ichigo doesn't go straight down onto the head. You need to open a small flap on the bottom of the arms to allow the head to go in. The result of this is some super sweet transformation where the majority of the right half and top of the arms become the left shoulder armor, and the rest fold up neatly into a compact backpack and chest armor. Included with this arms is a set of 3 Ichigo Kunai. They come separated but can be combined into a 3 piece kunai weapon, mostly to give the appearance of holding multiple single daggers in one hand. These are seriously awesome little weapons. This arms looks great on honestly every one, Gaim rocks it best, but Zangetsu is no slouch either. In short, yet again Bandai has delivered a fantastically fun addition to the Arms Change line. I've bought every release they've put out so far and have no intention of stopping. This continues to be THE BEST mass retail gimmick line that Kamen Rider has ever had.

Pineapple looks like a Strength based upgrade should look. Bulky, armored. And Ichigo.. I never liked. Honestly. The colors are all right I just don't like how lopsided it looks.

I'm really hoping they step up production in the coming months for the AC line. I'm immensely happy that they've managed to produce an incredibly well-done, fun line, but they've gotten so hard to find and expensive that it's agonizing.

I still haven't got this set. It's the one thing, besides Suika, that I still need. Pine looks great on everyone, but I can't say the same for Ichigo.

Ichigo and Pine are awesome in that it doesnt leave a huge backpack unlike Orange, Banana and Melon. Nice pics.

They really need to make more of these to bring the price down. But it looks good. Now, what's next?

In two minds on this set. On the one hand, I like how Pineapple AC is rigid, the flappy windchime look of the show suit sucks. But on the other hand, why string? I guess it allows the poses to be more dynamic, but good look with that, although you got around it it's still a pain in the ass. I actually would have preferred just a bit of moulded plastic. Unpopular opinion or not.
Strawberry is solid, but ultimately fairly unexciting. I displayed Gaim in it for quite a while because it suits him well, but I'd rather him wear something a bit more exciting.
