Well it's been a little while, but time to get back on track as we see gamers go up against Astronauts in:

Megaranger
"A cybernetic scientist gets sucked into another dimension and becomes Dr. Hinelar, in charge of Nejirejia under the supervision of Javious the First. Five high school students who excel at a video game designed to select a elite team to fight the Nejirejia, defeat them as the Megaranger."

in Space
"The Power Rangers blast off into the final frontier after their defeat at the hands of Divatox, in order to prevent Dark Specter from stealing Zordon's energy. With the help of Space Ranger & survivor of KO-35, Andros, they become the Power Rangers in Space."

This is tough, well, sort of. It was the true ending of Power Rangers, gave us several seasons worth of monsters and storylines, took place on several planets, and most of all, it had an ending. Oh, and Darkonda was an awesome villian and Astronema rocked.

MegaRanger is stuck on Earth, but the NeijiRangers are pretty awesome. Plus Yuganda was pretty awesome in thie series, far better than Ecliptor in PRiS, but the villians just did not do it for me all of the time.

What I've seen of Megaranger is cool, but Power Rangers in Space wins out here simply because its more than just a show, it was the end of an era. After Countdown to Destruction aired, I was effectively done with Power Rangers as a child because it felt like the end to me and the new show format would never work to me. While I obviously don't feel like that today, the show still left an impact on me that few shows from my childhood have ever come close to.
