Some of these episodes have so much potential like the Blade story line of what will happen if Kenzaki and Hajime meet plus we got the 2 main blade actors back (it's so much better when the main actors come back for these zi-o reunion arcs) and while the ending was predictable, I am not a fan of zio- trinity. It just looks and is dumb.

You know I was wondering how Zi-O Trinity was going to turn out, better than expected. A very final form ride/climax form transformation sequence.
And while Seiji Takaiwa isn't exactly prime for action and stunts anymore, his character suit acting is absolutely superb. Just the little things, like how even as a chest decoration, Sougo still does his little head tilt while talking, that stuff is the stuff I like. |

From the scene recreating the eye-catch from Blade in episode 29, to Kenzaki and Hajime finally reuniting, this was one amazing tribute to Blade. And not only that, but an excellent Zi-O episode in its own right.
Kenzaki didn't get much of an opportunity to interact with the Zi-O cast, but his brief explanation of the battle fight and the result of the two Joker's meeting helps cement this as a thoughtful continuation of the original series. And White Woz's plan in that regard is quite dastardly: Forcibly bring the two together using Amane as the bait. On the Zi-O side of the story, we got a great send-off for White Woz, who accepts his flaws thanks to Sougo and disappears, his timeline being erased. Black Woz takes over full-time as KR Woz, and we find out that Kaito was working for Oma Zi-O this whole time and that his goal was to steal White Woz's tablet. This means this isn't that last we've seen of Diend, at least I hope not. For Blade, I loved seeing all the flashbacks to Amane as a kid with Hajime, and the roaches from the final episode. I also enjoyed the effects they used when the monolith appeared again and had an abundance of Joker's lurking within. Another Blade stealing the powers of Chalice and Blade to become the last Joker was a good way to introduce Trinity as a direct parallel (and a good excuse for Kenzaki and Hajime to revert back to being human). Now that they no longer possess the power of the Undead, Kenzaki and Hajime are free to live as they want. The scene where they reunite with Amane is touching. 15 years later, we finally get resolution and it's very satisfying. And for once, the creation of the RideWatch's is beneficial to the situation the original Rider's were in. It seems like history no longer changes when RideWatch's are created so Kenzaki and Hajime get their conclusion without sacrificing the struggle they went through. Wish Zi-O's rules were like this from the start. And honestly, the premise too - continue the story of the original Rider's, not erase them. At least they realized how unpopular the original plan was though, so better late than never. Trinity was hilarious! Geiz and Woz turning into actual watch straps was silly and the giant room with the clock where they all reside makes for some good comedy, especially when the clock hand doesn't manage to turn all the way (I wonder if that was intentional?). I also loved Woz's "iwae" speech this time, full of "maybe's" and "probably's" because it's not foretold in his book. The finisher was pretty sweet too. Oma Zi-O appearing at the end to remind them about the RideWatch's they have yet to obtain felt like confirmation that yes, we will see the remaining Rider's get their tribute. Surprised that Den-O is there since Gen Forever seemed to be primarily a Den-O tribute, but I do realize they never obtained the RideWatch in the film itself. Maybe we'll see Zeronos return? The Agito preview was HYPE. I love the simplicity of Agito's henshin and I'm glad they are putting it to use in Zi-O! |

Wait hold on, I thought Geiz took the Ghost & Drive Ridewatches from Oma Zi-O, so how does he have the Drive one back then?

It does not count as Sougo actually getting them though, Those watches Geiz have where stolen from the future, Sougo himself has yet to obtain them.

This ep was alright. The whole blade tribute was a good way to give Zi-O a new form with how strong another blade is.
I don't like trinity it ugly and tacky looking. The ending was the best it good to know diend is working for Oma Zi-O make sence why he in the show. He also had the book with him I wonder what he going to do next hmmm? |

My guess is that after they obtain it for real there will be two of them--one from the future and one from the present. Geiz Stole the present version, so Oma still has the future version of the same ridewatch. Time loop.

I am almost blank on my memories of Blade, except that Hajime and Kenzaki must not meet or they will be forced to kill each other until one reigns supreme and thus the world is destroyed. All I remember is that Kenzaki is a boring lead that made a very importan decision in the end, a very Kamen Rider decision when Kamen Rider series are still manly (Kuuga ends up a world killer potential, Agito erased history by killing a God's manifestation, Ryuki DIED, Faiz is losing his health), and Hajime is an embodiment of bitter sweet tragedy.
Speaking of Faiz, Orphnoch King is still alive, right? |
