Right now I'm going to use Primarina and the Dragon who's name I can't remember.
Other than that I don't know who I'm going to use.

I'd say Araquanid? I used them for a bit during one of my playthroughs. Also, it's a spider, so that's always awesome.

Those are the exact two I can't decide between
Although now that someone's thrown Washiwashi into the mix that seems like a contender too...

Well, Araquanid has a pretty similar statline to Golisopod, just weaker and Specially defensive instead of physical, so it's not that different.
Mareanie is a complete pain in the ass to get, as it only is encounterable as an SOS from a corsola, which is already a decently rare fishing encounter, and, as I said, it's a wall which honestly makes it really boring in SP. Wishiwashi is probably the most different from Gol because it can be a special attacker instead of a physical. |

Yeah I ran with an Araquanid in Sun until more or less replacing it with Golisopod. Really liked it, but did feel similar (aside from Golisopod's gimmick ability of course).
But sometimes gimmicks can be fun and I'm thinking now I'll use a Wishiwashi in this playthrough since I kinda just ignored it last time.

I used an Araquanid in my playthrough of Pokemon Moon. It was the last Pokemon I added to my team and it's really good, the ability helps make up for it's lack of attacking power especially once it learns Liquidation, although it takes a while until it can get to that point. Still does a fair amount with Scald though.
Team was (with current levels): Kaepora/Decidueye Lv.100 Mickey/Alolan Raichu Lv.100 Oki/Lycanroc Midnight Lv.100 Biolizard/Salazzle Lv.100 Tediz/Bewear Lv.100 Blue Tektite/Araquanid Lv.100 Won't be playing Ultra Moon because I don't really want to shell out for a remastered version of a game I already own but I'll be following LPs of it and any team updates people might do here (if that is even a thing here)

Toxapex is another Water option but it's such a pain in the ass to get them.
SOS chaining is among the worst features Pokemon has ever introduced. |

Man I'm happy and ticked off at the same time. I've been breeding Adamant Contrary Fomantis in Beast Balls trying to get a Shiny one to use in Ultra Sun. I give up after hatching well over 500 eggs and go to breed a Jangmo-o with a Hasty or Naive nature and after hatching 7 eggs, I get a Shiny one... Jangmo-o didn't even have either nature I was going for.
Had I just hatched 7 more eggs I probably would've gotten that Shiny Fomantis... |
