The movie is pretty normal for me. Not too good, but not bad.
I really like the idea of a band made of Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Chopin and Schubert though. |

PRO: I gotta hand it to this movie, if there's one thing it did right, it was that it didn't leave room for any of the main Riders to become irrelevant. Each had their own things to do in the movie.
CON: ....Yea, just like the Series itself, there are some really confusing plot points that make near no sense.

I finally watched this, so that was the reason behind Makoto's father cameo and the flashbacks of Argos in the show.
It was okay I guess, maybe the 3 alternate Necroms were underused, but at least it was entertaining. Well in the end, the promise of food saved the day.

I just found out that Yuka Hirata is in this. I'm honestly considering watching this now, but I'm not sure she's pretty enough to override my gut instinct to want to punch Shun Nishime's stupid face on sight.

As someone who quite liked Ghost (shocking I know), I enjoyed this movie. Yeah it has a few pacing issues especially regarding how many different plot points are thrown at you but honestly that's a problem all these movies have due to their shorter than average run time.
Otherwise though what is shown is quite interesting and I think the movie did as well as it could with these plot elements without feeling like an overall mess. In fact I admit I kinda wish some of these elements made it into the show such as the mystery regarding Makoto's father, more emphasis on how Takeru's ghostly nature affects him, and Argos who I think is a more interesting villain than Adel. I also really like the final fight and ending scene. Yeah it loses some impact since Takeru already died like 3 times in the show but when taken on it's own I think it's really well done. Although the scene where everyone's laughing is a bit creepy. It suppose to resemble something akin to a family gathering but it comes off as everyone laughing at Takeru. Overall, if you didn't like Ghost(which a lot of people don't) I don't think this movie will change your mind. If you do though then I think this is pretty enjoyable to watch. |

I was originally going to say this was an ok movie until that bullshit at the end. So if Takeru's body is gone then he is no longer a ghost? WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THAT?!! Its not like his Ore eyecon that contains his soul so this make no sense. Especially since his body would be of no use because at the time this movie takes place in the show would mean its been well over a hundred days. I do not know how long it takes for a human body to be fully decomposed but I am pretty sure he would pretty bad after three months. And since every Ghost related is in the same universe unlike the other rider movies that means we have to include the shows logic too. Didn't Takeru's body disappear in the first episode? If it did where did it go? There is no way it was taken by Argos because there is no way he could know he was special at the time. Speaking of, how did Argos get his body? Lets say it didn't disappear then did they not bury it or store it? I mean that is the one thing that I am pretty sure you want to keep an eye on if it is apparently what is keeping you as a fucking ghost! Then what happened to Kanon's body? I mean I figured the almighty great eye gave her a new body! And if it is true that you need your body in one piece for the most part then how will that affect Takeru? Sage has said that he has no clue what Takeru even is now sense he came back three times, oh wait make that four since we have to include this death. Now onto another point with Sage. He told Argos that he would have to get fifteen heroic souls and connect to their hearts in 99 days. Did he know which souls would have to be collected? And was he sure that someone would be able to connect in 99 days if they were say completely different?
Other than that I liked that they got the band that does the opening to be the musical band even if it means that they had to get rid of the foamy pompadour. Also why was Darwin dressed up as Gandhi? A minor nitpick but why did Kanon grab the tiny ghost? Could they even touch him before hand? |

Man, Argo's whole concept and plan would have made Ghost as a series so much more interesting if it wasn't regulated to just a film plot. I liked Ghost overall, it just wasn't very strong. If they integrated Argo into the series as the real looming villain behind Adel, I think it could have changed things for the better.
Takeru's main adversary would have been the original choice to inherit the power of Kamen Rider Ghost, driven mad by the prospect of death and the transition to the form of a ghost being a step towards immortality. Why let your life burn bright when you can throw it away and live for eternity? Add the fact that Takeru's body being the perfect vessel for the ultimate eyecon and a bit of coaxing from Argo and you could have had a finale arc where Takeru had to choose between letting Argo fulfill his ambitions and convert everyone to ghosts so he and his loved ones could live forever or sacrifice his chance to return to life so everyone else could live. Plus you could have kept Adel's whole plot in-tact and had a three-way confrontation: Takeru wanting to unite the human and ganma worlds, Adel wanting to conquer the human world and rule everything and Argo wanting to basically kill the inhabitants of both worlds to grant them eternal ghost life.

I do agree Argos would of made a better villain that Adel. Vut I can not see having both Adel's and Argos's plans in the series working out well story wise. Unless the show had a different writer it would probably end up being too much and just end up as a crap puddle.

Honestly, this movie is actually pretty good. I don't know what Ghost's haters would say, but if there's one material from Ghost that is worth to be watched then it's this movie. I agree that Argos would make a better villain than Adel. Even I feel that he is an even more an anti-thesis of Takeru, being a similar case to Takeru. Adel might be a redeemable and still had a flicker sign of goodness as we had seen on the show. However, I really don't see such a thing in Argos. It's a bit misunderstanding, but Argos seems to be pure evil.
Also, I think that the whole Makoto's father plot would actually be a good addition compared to a doppelganger plot that we had in the series. For those who sees Makoto as a pretty dull character, he pretty much came back into his impulsive character during his interactions with his father. It might only stay for half of the duration, but it gives more characterization to him. I honestly can't wait to see how they will explore Makoto in the next V-Cinema. A bit let down is Alain's importance in the move was quite lacking. Yes, he did interacted with Argos, but that's it. Man, I just wish that some plot of the movie will work out in the series. The movie is trying their best to give enough screen time for each Riders, but it didn't work so well. Yes, they managed to pull some good things in it, but it's still an hour movie... Just see the ending. I felt that the last scene was somewhat abruptly cut due to time constraint. Other than that, I really enjoy this movie. Takeru and Makoto are much better in this movie and they're not as bland as what people would think about them.
