I think it's a pretty decent toy. I like it a lot.

Hmm...I don't have Shinken Oh so i can't honestly say I'm speaking from experience. However, the video reviews and photos I have seen of Shinken Oh lead me to believe that while the emblem modes and transformations are better than the Samurai Megazord (in that they actually HAVE emblem modes), I really like the proportions better on the Samurai Megazord. In all honesty if I could own both, I would (and maybe I will...some day). I'm just not a huge fan of the overall chunky look of Shinken Oh. For $30 the Samurai Megazord is a pretty decent figure versus the $150-$200 you'll see Shinken Oh going for on eBay these days. It seems that the general theme of Power Ranger releases these days is they give up something and gain something in return.

I can never justify the price of importing a megazord to me thought I was kinda tempted with gokaioh then I remembered that there is just not enough toy for $60+, $25 for the zords I fell is a nice price plus I like BOA is FINALLY relising extra zords on there own insted of in a set which was my problem with the Dino Thunder mecha line WERE MISSING ONE ZORD FROM THAT LINE ONE. I also fell the BOA zords are proportioned better with the exception of DriveMax because its crap. Also I fell the only thing I would change about samurai zord is to make the yellow arm transformer into origami mood as it need to

I honestly can't say since I don't have Shinken-oh, but simply looking at the Samurai Megazord, it's a pretty decent toy. I love the nicer proportions and the toy at least feels solid and playable.
Out of curiosity from never having owned the Shinken-oh, is it fragile? Could anyone compare it to say, Gokai-oh? |
