Kamen Rider Dove
(An Automated Female Voice) Hello and welcome to Horizon. The City of Hope for all of Japan. As all of you know, in early 2000 Mt. Fuji finally erupted destroying almost 2/3 of Japan's landmass and destroying countless lives. After the disaster construction was announced that a new Japan would be built on the water. Now, fourteen years later, Neo-Japan has been completed with Horizon has it's capital! Welcome to your new lives, welcome to.. Horizon. The sliding doors open and before the new band of immigrants hoping for a new life lays Horizon. Spread out across this new man-made domed island like a five pointed snowflake resting on the surface of the pacific. With the ruins of Old Japan off the coast. Everything white, shiny, smooth, and brand new. With flashy advertising and dancing cartoon characters flashing across the screens above them as this new crowd of immigrants left their ships and came through security. Each one having their passes scanned. Because not everyone was allowed onto the upper-most level of this new Japan. Some, the wealthiest and most influential were allowed straight through into the glimmering sunlight. While those less fortunate or just plain not wanted were forced into the elevators and taken down beneath the city. Into what the Surfacers called Sector 6. And watching them all, hidden away among the rafters, was a girl. Dressed in the skintight black of one of the dock workers, but with a brown cloak covering her shoulders. A good masking her lovely features and cool blue eyes. Watching as those fortunate enough were allowed to continue on. “Hey!” Stiffening she looked behind her, watching as two of the guards who patrolled the area making their way across the silver gantry. “You’re not allowed up here, show me your ID Card!” Standing slow, raising her hands, she waited until the tallest of the guards reached for her hood. Gripping his arm she tugged to send him off balance and flipped him off the rail, catching the fabric of his jacket on the railing so he wouldn’t fall. The second one rushed her. She ducked, turned towards her right, and he to flipped the rail. Gripping on for dear life. The girl just smiled and turned to run only to see two more guards coming. Frowning she gripped the rail beside her and jumped! The landing behind the security desk she looked up and smiled at the two flustered guards who watched on as she disappeared into the crowd, just another face among so many. But a few steps down her arm was grasped and she was pulled into the shadows between shops. Ready for another fight she turned to see her Grandfather watching her with those stern eyes. “Yuki.” She lowered her head and let him lead her off back towards the docks, using his keycard to open the gate. “What were you thinking, Yuki? If they caught you again you’d be thrown off the island..” The young girl pulled down her hood, allowing her long black hair free as her shoulders gave a graceful shrug towards her elder. “I’m sorry, Grandpa. I just wanted to watch the new people come in and the Beta Gantry has the best view.” The old man sighed and shook his head. “You know better.” The Docks were where all the new arrivals came. Ships, helicopters, even small aircraft, all passing through the busiest port in all the pacific. Handing his granddaughter her breather, to help protect against the fumes, and her hardhat and vest, he led her out towards their station. “I know, Grandpa. I just like watching..” He sighed quietly. “We’re lucky to be here at all, Yuki. Please don’t cause trouble.” She nodded and both got to work. Directing the new arrivals, making sure the taxis brought the right plane to the right gate. All of the grunt work the rich were to busy to care for. As the shift ended, and the sunset behind Japan, Yuki and her Grandpa headed for their lockers. Only for Yuki to feel a hard hand on her shoulder. “Not getting away this time, Trespasser.” Before she could react handcuffs were on her wrists and she was being forcefully led away. “No! Please.. She only watches the people, she promised not to again!” “Grandpa, No!” She watched, eyes wide, as the guards shoved him back slamming the Old Man into the wall so hared his head knocked the wall. “Grandpa!” “Gon, you pushed’m to hard. You killed the Old Bat!” Tears filled her eyes. “No... Grandpa?” Growling she fought hard, kicking the man who held her in the shin and breaking free.. only to stop when one of the guards smashed her across the skull with his baton turning her world black. “Get this bitch to the holding cell, and someone clean this mess!” Waking in her cell, memories flooded her. The scuffle, her Grandfather striking the wall, what the guard said after.. Tears pouring from her eyes she curled upon the prison bench and just cried. Curled within her blanket and just cried. Would you like another chance? The voice came and her eyes flung open wide.. There was no one here. Just her in this black walled prison cell. Would you like another chance? That voice.. she swore she’d heard it before. It sounded almost like.. The Woman. The Automated Woman that greeted everyone has they came onboard. But.. she was just a machine! “.. Another chance?” She asked. Yes. You’ve lost your Hope when the lose of your Grandfather. But a chance can be given for you to restore hope to everyone onboard Horizon. A chance to honor your Grandfather. Will you accept this chance? Sitting herself upright, gripping the wall-mounted bed, Yuki stood up and nodded. “.. I’ll do it.” Then you must move quick. The doors will open, the guards will not know, there is a room beyond the prison. Inside this room you will find a belt. With this belt, the belt of the Kamen Rider, you will restore hope to Horizon. The doors opened and Yuki moved quick. Rolling into the hall she brought herself to stand and pushed. Pushed harder than she thought she could, her thighs burned as she ran towards the opening door. And as it started to close she leapt, landing perfectly to slide feet first through the closing opening and skidding safely to a halt inside. Spread on the floor she smiled and took a few easy and very deep breaths. The sound of it the only sound in the room until every computer whirred itself to life around her. Monitors flickered, lights blinked, hard drives hummed. She pushed herself to stand and took it all in.. Until a metal tube opened in the center of the room. Inside was the belt the voice had promised. The Driver. It was shaped like a buckle pass holder the guards wore, only this was white with soft blue accents. This is the Dove Driver. With it, you will become the Kamen Rider Dove. A symbol of Hope for the people of Horizon. Put the belt on, Hurry. Guards are coming. Taking the Driver from the stand she pressed it to waist and smiled as it automatically created a pure white belt for around her waist. Insert your ID, the belt has now been attuned for you alone. Taking her black ID, she inserted the thick pass into the Driver and watched as it changed shape. Wings spread from either side along the belt, her pass changed from her photo to the symbol of Hope. The White Dove. “Henshin.” The word spoken and the Driver shone bright white, blinding the guards as they opened the door. “Everyone down!” Opening their eyes, blinking the stars away, what greeted them was a new Kamen Rider.. She wore a cloak over her shoulders, with a hood that pointed between her helmet’s glistening blue eyes. The hood and cloak had the design of a dove. With the feathers spreading over the cloak and the head over her helmet. Beneath her bodysuit was pure white, crosshatched with gold along her thighs and biceps. Molded blue armor came across her chest, accented in gold and white, ending just above her stomach. With slender molded blue gauntlets along each arm to match the heeled boots adorning each foot and calve. Her helmet with the two glistening blue eyes was featureless otherwise. This was what Horizon was waiting for... Hope had Arrived. The First Kamen Rider was Born! The guards rushed her. Moving swift she ducked beneath the first punching up into his solar plexus, sending the man three times her size to the ground doubled over in agony. The next tried kneeing her while she was down. She gripped his knee and used it to flip over him. Sending both feet firm into his shoulders, and his head through a nearby computer monitor. Sending sparks and smoke showering around him. The third swing his baton towards her to catch her as she landed. But she brought up both gauntlets to block the attack. And as he stumbled back from the recoil she kicked him firm across the skull, sending him flying off to the side. As unconscious and helpless as his friends. But she didn’t stay still. She rushed for the nearest elevator and when inside the voice returned to her. Only this time she could see her, inside her helmet like a mini-projection. She was lovely. Long blue hair and glowing white eyes. Use your ID. It will take you where you need to go. Fix Horizon. Fix Horizon before it’s to late, only you can. And just as quick as she came she was gone. “Fix Horizon...? Stop being so damn cryptic!” She gave a very childish huff and inserted her pass into the slot, holding on as the elevator started to move. Insert your ID again and lower the cover. The suit will automatically change to suit the level when the doors open. I am sorry, this is all the help I can give you. Before she could even ask what was going on the voice was gone again. |
