Let's be honest here: ratings for Sentai are down and seem to be on a steady drop; HOWEVER these ratings don't take into account other means of watching TV: E.G. computers and other devices.
Plus toysales are more or less Super Sentai's lifeblood. Unless the toys aren't selling I don't see Super Sentai going away just yet. |

Misleading title...
Highly doubt ToQger will be the last Sentai. If it does poorly in toy sales, they'll try to figure out another gimmick to save it. As somebody once said, this show is nearly 40 years old (40 years next year!), I don't think anybody at Toei wants to be responsible for killing a 40 year old show.

Reason for this is that Spider-Man show that came between JAQK and Battle Fever |

It's kinda hard to pigeon hole just when Super Sentai's 40th is since Goranger went on for a good long while; while JAKQ was cut short due to not really connecting with its target audience.
I guess whenever Toei wants to do the 40th is when we can say "It's the 40th" I do wonder what will be the theme for the 40th Sentai. |

This will not be the last sentai. Whoever is saying that is participating in amateur speculation.
Sentai much like Kamen Rider continues to make Bandai gobs of money. The toylines sell so the shows won't be dying any time soon. Even if the ratings get worse and worse, as long as the toylines sell it's all good.
