Tokunation is ready to wrap up it's special tribute to Power Rangers Lightspeed Resuce. And to do so we bring you a final gallery, that of the DX Liner Boy from Lightspeeds' sentai counterpart KyuKyu Sentai GoGoV!
Liner boy, or Max Liner/Max Shuttle as it's known in it's vehicle modes, is an independent robo that unlike it's US counterpart (Max Solarzord) did not require a pilot thanks to an onboard AI. In fact there was no 6th ranger in GoGoV either, so far the only sentai not to introduce a new member within the series since Zyuranger! But the existence of this mecha in GoGoV and it's lack of a pilot spawned the Titanium Ranger here in the US, thus the footage of this machine was adapted to make it appear to be his personal zord. Liner Boy also features a combo with the Victory Robo known as the Max Victory Robo known under the name Lightspeed Solarzord in the US! Want TokuNation.com updates on the go? I personally liked the black Lifeforce Megazord repaint.

I was very disappoint because the combination system of that toy just looks like
'victory robo put its legs to square box to form legs of Max victory robo'. I had expected more segmentalized combine parts just like original show.

How can you not absolutely love a Space Shuttle/Train/Robot?! And one that forms such a lovely combined Mech. The toy is a bit of a dissapointment, none seperating legs and all.
But it's a Sentai toy, what do you expect |

It's the end of the month and there aren't any photo staff members who own a Grand Liner/Supertrain. We start our new tribute month on Monday.

I'm overall not a fan of the GoGoV mecha. I know articulation is not a common thing in Super Sentai, but man this one doesn't even look like he has separate legs and that has always bugged me.

Max Solar Zord!
I still have this, just missing the combiner head. Quote:
Considering how the rest of it it transforms I'm not sure how you could get the legs to actually split without basically ending up looking like a box anyhow. Last edited by SPLIT LIP; 06-30-2013 at 02:15 PM.. |
