Also, the Bayformers movies are shite. Bumblebee was only decent because a director who actually gave a shit was hired. |

I'd rather have 1 decent movie for Power Rangers OR Transformers than 1 crappy crossover. Crossover/shared universe is very likely going to be a mess. It may work in limited scope, for example a crossover between current season and previous season of Power Rangers. Creating a shared universe for vastly different stories is very hard, if not impossible, without turning it into an incomprehensible mess. Well, perhaps people today love incomprehensible stories. Might as well create a shared universe with My Little Pony. Or worse, add a lethal dose of PC, like Disney does. |

The only Bayformer I find acceptable is the first one. 2 & 3 were facepalms. 4 & 5 convinced me Bay was on dope. Then Bumblebee was released. Finally, a Transformers movie that gave us characters and story, after Bay gave us explosions. Of course, I watched them all, and immediately forgot them the moment I stepped up from my seat.

Writers don't constantly have to double-check to see what works based on what has already been established. |

Come on it's common knowledge that people hate Bayformers. I do worry about the new PR movie though. I don't like time travel.

Bumblebee was a true Transformers Movie even if it still wasn't the Transformers Movie we've wanted for so long. I say we keep it in play regardless of what happens. As far as the Bayformers Continuity is concerned, most kinda give the 2007 OG a pass and scratch the rest. I say we keep it in play regardless of what happens. Time Travel has been suggested as being the basis for the new PR Movie plot. I myself can live with that. Bumblebee has been considered a "soft reboot" as some of its aspects don't fully align with the Bayformers. Time Travel could help solve that, undoing the stupidity of the Bayformers and allowing PR to exist in the same universe by letting a new timeline occur after the 2007 Movie. What I really want is to see the new PR Movieverse interact with 2017 PR Movieverse (which had a throwaway line where 2017 Jason told a random camero "Sorry, Bumblebee.")! |
