Kinda had a bit mixed feelings in this episode. The pacing is a bit weird in this episode. Well, it's justified since we got the robot fight right at the beginning. Other than that, it's quite interesting episode. I love how Bunglay actually one-step ahead when reading the Zyuohger's plans. And.... Is it me, but I kinda missed the time when Misao was so badass as "The World"! I honestly can't think why most of the time you all think Misao is funny. Well, I know it's a bit refreshing to see a relaxed 6th ranger with dorky attitude. I admit he can be funny on some occasions, but most of the time I think like Leo. Misao's sulking attitude most of the time is at the wrong time and place and it's one thing that's for me unbearable.
Also, for Quval's problems, I know that everyone is craving for a bit twist inside Deathgaliens, but I really didn't expect for him to actually want to backstab Genis. It really gives more tension to the series but I felt like "Oh okay, now there's a backstabbing general again but it's quite unpredictable." Anyway, up until now, despite some flaws here and there, I still enjoy Zyuohger much better than Ninninger or some other Sentais. It has a much better plot advancing and character development within the teams and obviously a much mature and less-shouting (though still a spotlight stealer) Red Ranger. Then, we have a dorky sixth ranger there. We might only going to have 12 or 13 more episodes on Zyuohger and there's still some untouched plots here: -Quval's betrayal of course -Bird Man's true motives and the reason he hates ZyuLand -The secret between Cetas and ZyuLand's history and why it was unknown to the residents there -The last but not the least obviously, Yamato's relationship with his father |

Misao's attitude kicking in at the wrong moments is part of the joke. He can deliver the single strongest blow on the whole team, but he doesn't have the self motivation to do so.
He's different. He's a huge dork, but not like GokaiSilver. He's the strongest on the team (Well...Before Zyuoh Whale), but he doesn't have the internal strength to use it, and his joke is pretty original, since most other Sentai members where a character will just "Freeze up" only happens out of suit, not mid battle. You don't have to like it, but Misao was actually pretty original in a franchise where everyone believed all originality had been sucked out ages ago (It is getting a little stale due to his multiple amount of back to back episodes, but eh), so it's easy to see why people like him.

Well, truly I know Misao is quite different from your usual 6th ranger. As you said, it's actually refreshing to see a sulker, low-spirited and dorky 6th ranger nowadays. But, still, as you said again, Misao's attitude recently was quite over the top. Say during the time he used snorkeling kits but he ended up getting in Sela's way. I think episode 32 was the climax on Misao's sulking attitude. It's funny to see Misao's attitude but I felt they really need to stop this arc now or never since they really need to shift from Bunglay's arc to Quval's arc too. Let's say how you would compare Misao to some latest 6th ranger, Kinji and Akira?
Anyway, the reason why I love Zyuohger is the bond between the characters. You could see a real development between a two-character focused episodes. Yamato himself, despite having tons of upgrades, doesn't become a hardcore spot-light stealer. Just like what you said about Misao, it's a bit refreshing to see a more mature and calm Red Ranger. Also, I have read that some people dislike Tusk because he is really dull but when he is pared with the others, he really shone brightly. |

To be entirely honest, Misao only started to get a little tired recently. But to each their own.
As for Tusk, it's just because he feels somewhat unnecessary at times. His blunt attitude is already used better by Leo, who states how he feels with more energy, his straightman act is done better by Sela because her reactions are timed a lot better, Yamato and Amu already have a super calm demeanor most of the time, and Misao is a hundred times more awkward than Tusk could ever manage. When paired with someone else, Tusk can be a neat character (Especially Leo), but when it's the full team, he seems like he's just filling space.

I enjoyed this episode. I was a bit skeptical at first because the whole plan of tricking Bunglay seemed stupid, even though the animal hats are adorable, but thankfully it took the route I wanted it to take: Bunglay figured it out immediately and used the Zyuohgers' trap against them.
I did not expect him to read Kubar’s memories; I figured he would just say that their hats were useless all along since he can just touch the sides of their heads. That totally works, right? The hats don’t protect them really. If they would their regular helmets would shield them already. But I don’t mind, especially since they gave us that cool dark and twisted version of the role call It’s a good setup episode for the big mecha next week, looks promising. Also, fun fact: They used two locations I recognized from Kamen Rider Gaim in this episode. The underground where Kubar and Bunglay meet up is the secret entrance to Yggdrasil where Kouta and Professor Ryoma fight the turtle Overlord, and when the Zyuohgers fight Bunglay under the bridge near a river, that’s where Bravo debuted and kicked Gridon’s and Kurokage’s butt. Especially the later location is often used in Toku apparently; I’ve seen it quite a lot in different shows now. I think I first saw it in Kamen Rider Agito. Kinda funny if you recognize the locations and imagine all the characters running into each other if you ask me |

I sometimes notice locations, but I actually didn't realize these ones were used before
Makes me feel kind of bad, and also all the more curious over what other areas have been used in Zyuohger~

Somewhere between Misao and (Bang Rey/Bangley), this Sentai got drastically better. I also tend to love Sentai episodes that end with the heroes getting their butts kicked. I know some people aren't so fond of him, but I often actually laugh out loud at Misao's mood swings. The writers are successfully remembering the connections they wrote between him, Tusk, and Leo, so the Zyuohgers are increasingly feeling like a team rather than a collection of young actors. The mecha are still the clunkiest I'd ever imagined - ToQ-Oh included - but otherwise, Zyuohger is coming close to hitting the notes that make me enjoy Kyoryuger so much, while also hitting a note or two (Misao and Bang Rey) that I don't recall hearing from Sentai before.
