Hmmm...I see the knight aspect wasn't completely dropped. I'll give this series a shot before I gripe anymore about it.
Also, I just realised that their buckles are freaking dinosaur eggs. That is AWESOME. Last edited by gashatfreak; 12-08-2018 at 04:34 PM.. |

It means that the hands of the megazord can be moved without moving the entire arm

With that in mind - the Saban/Bandai relationship had already been announced as ending (Feb 11th was the premiere of Lupinranger). My speculation is that without the extra income in toys from "Power Rangers", Bandai/Toei decided to go back to dinosaurs to give themselves a boost after what is surely going to be a dismal financial year with Super Ninja Steel and Lupin/Pat.

Like the story concept. It's definitely very "New age Zyu" in many ways. Which is fitting for the timing of new abroad owners.
And again, I really wouldn't worry so much on the financial side. Revenues coming in from licensing have been the larger emphasis for a bit now. Toei's even said as such years ago. I also really wouldn't trust much of anything BoA says. They tend to be hindered by other factors too, and half truths they aren't telling you. BoA has some great artists, but they are only a little more in the know than an average fan. Comparatively, BoJ to BoA is a really complicated relationship, that's more akin to that relative you only talk to because you had to at family gatherings even if you'd rather avoid them at times. Like TokuChris points out, BoJ doesn't really care what BoA had to say, and BoA had to deal with whatever Toei and BoJ decided unless they were asked to help like in the case of Kyu because BoA was feeling demoralized. Every time this discussion of "financials" by fans comes up, it still makes me eyeroll though. Cause what they seem to talk about and see never reflects the actual data on that from wider royalties and money coming in. Domestic toy sales numbers have been expected to decline for a bit due to other factors(though other domestic royalties forms have increased). But the shows really aren't going away anytime soon as other revenue draws are still sustaining them far more than anyone seems to factor in. Domestic market decline isn't isolated to only Sentai in that regard. But licensing revenues have actively increased as the market reach increased. This doom and gloom is really unneeded, and sadly predictable. To put it to rest, the financials are fine through to the 50th anniversary. Anything after that is what's up for debate. So Sentai will be fine through to the 50th. Save the doom and gloom discussions for then. After 52 is when it might need to formally finally rest to reconfigure. So year 53 might be a skip year. Though other surprises may still be in store too. This "Neo-Zyu" approach is definitely a celebratory move to welcome Hasbro to the family formally now though. I'm really looking forward to how it develops out. And I'm also excited by what they could do with the 6th based on this "neo-zyu" trend. Also expecting a surge in licensing royalties per how Dinos do in other locations like South Korea and other markets. Really looking forward to other series coming up too. Also really looking forward to seeing what concepts come out of the Hasbro integration now that they are directly at the table. Expecting a lot of great things to come for Sentai's future. Definitely love these designs though. The emphasis of teeth for the knight grill, and the thunderstrike tale dividing suit element are excellent touches. The gear looks great too. And the Mecha design has got me excited too. Can't wait to see what else comes from that that. Definitely going to get the mini-plas of those. And really want to see the other integrated aspects and how that evolved in potential or what Hasbro does with it too. This has some potential for a full MMPR revival tbh, which is great timing with other story elements and series coming up. Last edited by Librarian; 12-08-2018 at 07:54 PM.. |

Well, I guess like mega ranger they're sharing one mecha. The others are just accessories add on. Even the Morphers shout trex, so I guess the trex might be sentient or some guardian that related to it provide the core five the Morphers,
