A little off topic, but thought it was worth sharing for anyone who (like me) really wants to watch Gavan after seeing the movie. Midnight Crew Subs just posted this over on Facebook

We just finished translating Gavan 4. We're gonna release these episodes in groups of 5. So expect the first 5 episodes soon!

So I finally got around to watching the movie today, and all I have to say is this:
I need new pants. |

Toei's movies have been either hit-or-miss for me (Ghost Ship is an disappointment, for instance), but this movie rocks. I even like that all-Pink Gokai Change they had in the movie, and the mech battle at the end didn't feel phone-in either. It's a great movie whether you are a Gavan fan or not.

Abare Summer Deluxe was pretty good.
But I do agree, usually their 30 minute movies are not the greatest, but at least they tend to have something redeeming in them. |

And that redeeming feature usually tends to be some sort of new toy
