Kakuranger was SERIOUS?! What show were you watching? Don't get me wrong, I love Kakuranger (my number 1 most wanted fully subbed), but serious is the last thing I think of when talking about Kakuranger. Kakuranger is a less silly Go-Onger or Carranger, but still rather silly.

So I'm almost caught up with Garo being on episode 14 of Makai Senki and am trying to decide what to watch next. It will either be Kuuga, GaoGaiGar or a Sentai. The Sentai I'm considering are Shinkenger, Gekiranger (I like Jan from what I've seen of him), Magiranger, Dekaranger and Boukenger which I all want to get to at some point. Which ywould you guys recommend I go with if I choose to watch a Sentai?

It's been a moment since I've logged in and just wanted to post I'm trying to catch up with Gokaiger! Some nice people on the site were kind to point me the way on where to watch the show online. Thanks again guys!

Just got up to the first episode with DaiMugen in Dairanger. First thing I noticed was that it has Anguiras' roar. Second thing was that the finishing attack is even more ridiculous than I remember it being in Power Rangers.
I quite like Kameo though.

I'm watching Dekaranger right now, and it's taken about 11 episodes for me to even begin to care about the characters. The villains are all pretty lame, so far, except for this last one I saw. Well, when he's in his human mode. All the suite designs for the villains have be really lame/dumb imo, and they all behave stupidly too, in alienizer form. And I don't really like Dekarobo's design all that much either. I do like the individual vehicle modes though. But I will stick it out farther, because as I said, I'm starting to be interested in the characters. Except I don't like Hoji all that much. Or Ban. And Sen's fairly boring so far. And I don't like the silly stock footage they use to get the suits on. And Doggie Kruger's design is kinda dumb (but I like the character). And what is up with Swan's headpiece? And Sen's gimmick of standing on his head to think is stupid. Why am I watching this show again? I want to watch Boukenger, because I like the mech design, and Shinkenger, because everybody says it's good, and also I like the mech design, but I want to get thru Dekaranger and Gokaiger first. For merch, forums are probably your best bet for convenience, and often price as well. But I've become a big fan of Mandarake since figuring out how to search using Japanese characters (copy/paste from wikipedia), lots more results that way, and they're usually pretty cheap. And I've just started a transaction with one of the middlemen here, trying to get some stuff off Yahoo Japan, which is also only searchable via Japanese. HLJ is pretty good in my experience, and on occasion eBay also works. Lots of people also recommend AmiAmi, I've never used them myself, and BBTS carries some KR stuff, though some of their prices are high, but not all. |

Watched Dekaranger episode 12 tonight.
Um, yeah. It was bad. The worst I've seen so far. Umeko has to babysit some giant mutant duck-baby thing, and it was just, bad. So I thought I'd improve the evening by watching an episode of Gokaiger. I like the pirates, they're good characters. So I watched episode 14, guesting RedRacer from CarRangers. Yikes. Was CarRangers as retarded as this episode was? It was horrifying. I almost turned it off, but my 9 month old woke up, and wanted to sit on my lap for a little while. She was somewhat entertained, probably from all the flashy colors of the costumes. But wow, this was an awful episode. The only good part was when Navi said, "I guess there are some useless Grand Powers." I liked that line. I was tempted to watch GoBusters tonight, as people have said that's good, but I don't know if I dare continue with Sentai, it really might not be my thing. Oh, I did leave Kengo stranded on the moon, guess I can finish that arc of Fourze tonight, to get the horrible taste of Gokaiger 14 out of my mouth. |

Oh definitely, visually I can't fault Dairanger as far as the protagonists and mecha are concerned.

Finally finished Shinkenger tonight by watching the final episode... Sentai Tamashii was right, absolutely brilliant ending!
Also wanted to mention, I watched Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Returns: Special Act yesterday, and that was probably the most hilarious thing I've ever seen! :P |
