Top ten anime plot twists!
-------------------- Onto the episode itself. Rogue going rogue came as a surprise to no one considering that handsome rogue hates Utsumi, Nanba, and most of all, Stalk himself. I am surprised that they didn't kill him after that incident in Hokuto. On a sidenote, this episode proves that Walls can't stop refugees. Banjou recovering so quickly came as a surprise to no one considering that he is a musclehead. Stalk of all people should knowno better than that.

Anyway, one thing I do like about Hokuto is that it's like seeing a neglected part of Japan, in show and in real life. Everyone seems to focus on the cosmopolitan, globalized cities like Tokyo and such when discussing Japan in media and fan forums. The rural, "real" Japan not so much. It's one thing I like about 60s and 70s toku, I feel like I'm seeing an actual country rather than some fungible setting with Japanese actors. Last edited by Black Fang; 04-22-2018 at 08:45 AM.. |

That wall has always been porous, as was demonstrated way back in episode 3. It's always been a straggle of people moving in and out, never a flood. And the legal checkpoints are guarded, as we have seen. So no, if walls can't stop 100% they can still reduce transit by a great deal. (Especially if someone is controlling the limited access points, again demonstrated in 3 and 7.)

I understood it. I just pointed out that he's wrong while not straying too far from the show itself. As we both know, straying into politics goes against the board rules.

Yeah but it was clearly intended as a joke, no need to go "Well ACTUALLY"

I would like to sincerely apologize for the Wall joke. It was not my intention to offend anyone or to go against forum rules.
Well, it is easy for jokes to be misunderstood in this day and age. And to be fair to the Black Fang, I am making light of a serious situation. Last edited by Leo Novum; 04-22-2018 at 11:05 AM.. Reason: Clarity of intent |

Blood Stalk's levels of planning just get a bit ridiculous. Although I wonder if kidnapping the Touto Prime Minister to force Sento to build the Evol Driver is in fact a backup plan, perhaps initially Souichi was hoping Sento wouldn't figure out that he was being used in a wider scheme and had to change plans when that didn't work out.
Either way, Sento making the Evol driver is the last thing I would have expected to happen...

Ryuga's whole moment where he goes 'Yeah I may not be human and my powers may have come from evil, but screw it I'm still gonna fight for good", calling on one of the most defining traits of Kamen Riders in general; Yeah I think I'm cool with his backstory now.

I was expecting when Sento appeared that he was going to have to pep talking Banjo into fighting, but nope, he accepts he identity all on his own, something he wouldn't have been able to do at the start of the series.

No pep talk needed. Sento being there is a reminder to Banjou that no matter what, he's got people who have his back.
