Why there's so much cancelled cartoons and shows in the 80's and 90's ?

That was kind of the era where every show was a 20 minute toy commercial, and that can lead to cancellations for a lot of reasons. Poor reception, poor ratings, poor toy sales (This is the biggest reasons), fading fads, chasing fads too hard, etc etc.
Everyone wanted to be the new Ninja Turtles, then they became passe for a bit, then everyone wanted to be the next Power Rangers, and etc etc. The only ones not related to toy sales were modifying classic characters, like making them "Hip," like Yo Yogi! or, inexplicably, turning them into babies/children (I don't know why that was a thing). But yeah, it was all about toy sales, and it was all about rolling the dice on what would sell and what would flop. Investors would take their money and reinvest in whatever property and roll again, while the flops would just fade away for nostalgia to revive them 20 years later.

That's a shame, they had so much potential.

It sure is. Personally it is a pet peeve of mine regarding Western television in general. I don't like how they just drop the shows, and although I am sure some try or succeed with giving it a ending, most just seem to leave with a cliffhanger.

Most of them are pretty god awful anyways. It was for the best that they got cancelled if you ask me.

Exactly. The ones that were quality managed to survive. Why would a company continue something when it's not going to make them money? And there's so many shows that were pitched and never even saw the light of day.

Yet a show like Symbiotic Titan only gets one season, Lets not forget the Thundercats Reboot. But at least they got to an ending of some kind unlike Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go where it ended right before the final battle.
