I don't remember the exact episode off hand, but it was fairly early on - right after Ibuki and Akira began showing up regularly. Sometime between 6 and 10, I think?

My wife and I finished Den-O a couple of days ago.
I loved it. It was very moving and epic and funny and I really liked how it ended. Kinda sad that we're done, but I'm looking forward to the movies now. Overall I would say I'm a big fan of Den-O. Occasionally it was confusing, and lacked explanations, or clear rules (or they made up the rules as they went or changed them after the fact, one of those), but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the show. The characters were great. I didn't hate anybody, and in fact liked everybody. I kinda feel bad that Airi's two admirers got pushed out of the show, but it made sense story-wise as things progressed. I really liked Momotaros, Ryutaros and Deneb, and Yuuto, and Owner, and Hana and Naomi, and so on, pretty much everybody. I really like Den-Os forms, and will try to acquire them all in SIC and SHF form (with Sword Form/Momotaros now on the way, I have all 4 main forms, and 2 of the Imagins, along with Deneb/Zeronos. I'm sure I'll be picking up Climax Form/Urataros or Liner Form/Zero Form from Mandarake soon). NEEEED the Imagins in SHF form, who do I kill to get them? really looking forward to upcoming Den-O SHF releases. I think Liner Form ended up being my favorite looking, though Climax Form is the best in the show, particularly after they defeat an Imagin and each of the Taros' tries to take over to celebrate, plus it's initial transformation was moving and hilarious. But Liner Form's helmet is awesome, really great design, imo. Going to focus on finishing Ryuki, while catching up on Fourze. Recently saw the introductions of Raia, who is a great character, but kind of a weaker design, and Gai, who is a fantastic design, but a jerkface, but not in as likable a way as Zolda. |

I've watched the first 10 episodes of Kuuga so far. It's a good show with some great characters and ideas but the pacing and look of it being an older show makes it a bit hard for me to sit through (seriously, they use a doodle board as a prop!). Still, now that we've gotten the 3 main Chou Henshins out of the way I'm hopign the show picks up the pace a bit.

I'm just shocked that your wife will watch Kamen Rider. Mine actively rolls her eyes dramatically at all tokusatsu, even my beloved daikaiju.

She keeps saying she won't watch anymore, because she gets almost as sucked into it as I do, so instead of doing 'useful' stuff in the evening, we just sit and watch tv. but so far we've seen W, OOO, Kuuga and Den-O. I really liked the first three episodes of Shinkenger, so I'm kinda trying to get her to watch taht one with me. Oh, and i got her to watch ep 1 of Akibaranger, and she thought it was as funny as I did.
She's pretty great. |

My wife occasionally watched an episode or 2 of Gokaiger with me. But only because she was there at the time not really because she wanted to. She's fine with the fact that Im into Toku but trying to convince her that these shows have compelling plots that last for upwards of 50 episodes is near impossible. I occasionally get a pass to watch one or 2 episodes of whatever im working on at the time but she's hardly interested. I wish she could get into it like I do but her being supportive of my interests is plenty enough for me

I got my wife to watch all the Marvel superhero movies, like Iron Man and Thor, but no luck at convincing her to watch Super Sentai or Kamen Rider.

My wife will watch a lot of superhero stuff, but the Japanese stuff is one of her shut-down corners.

Wife and I just finished Den-O Climax Deka. We were both pretty excited to see Kiva again, but what the hell?! Kiva was barely in it! Very disappointed. Kivat was in it more than Kiva and Wataru combined.
But, it was a good film. Negataros is pretty awesome, and it was a good story. Just, very disappointed at the lack of Kiva, or that the supposed Fangires didn't transform at the end of the film. |
