Generally after the first preorder, they'll reopen preorder's once or twice. After that they'll take new orders when it's in stock. Occasionally they might restock one more time, but after that you're out of luck. If you miss the first window, as most (myself included) do, you'll want to use something like Figinstock to track when they come back in. That, or just keep an eye on this thread for someone to mention when orders are open/back open. |

Misread your question, had this huge reply written. Gone now.

I wouldn't worry too much about vol 2. Back during Kyoryuger the vol 2 then contained the three extra dinosaurs. And they got re-released with the Spinodai-oh later on. Wouldn't be too surprised if the four extra voyagers got re-released in vol 4. this year.

I'm debating cancelling my preorder for super minipla Daizyujin. I want it, but looking at GaoGaiGar, it's Master Grade price for High Grade size and complexity. The zords lack articulation, and the T. Rex's mouth can't even open. For $55 I could get an actual Master Grade that's far more intricate despite the transformation with better parts seperation.
I wish I could see more detailed pics of the unpainted, unstickered model before release. |

I just preordered daizyujin and forgot about it but now that I think about it, I got the Legacy one which transforms and combines as well as the SRC which is super articulated so I don't have a real need for the super minipla one. It definitely is expensive for what is but I'm still excited for it probably because MMPR and that it's a model kit. I also ordered it at AmiAmi which I don't think cancels easily. Haha.

Wonder what'll be in Vol. 2...
Well apparently there's 6 boxes in it. And the smaller voyagers are each 1 box. So it'll probably contain at least two of the small voyagers. Though I wonder if the two bipedal voyagers will also take one box. Each set is often either naught but auxillary, or a full mech and extra. So the second set will probably contain the last 4 of the main 9 voyagers. And probably the Ryu voyager as well. I missed the pre-orders for vol.2 but when I went to check, I saw that they still had vol.1 available. That's left me hopeful that they'll have extra vol.2 and I can just order a set after it comes out. I'm loving the detail on this set, but dang some of the decals are accent parts are small. Also I was pondering that with Sprukits on the shelves and past performance of Gundam models, I wonder if Bandai has considered releasing minipla sets branded under the current Power Rangers season. |

As someone who owns GaoGaiGar, here's my opinion on it.
It's ok. Like, really, it's ok. Complexity wise, it's definitely HG, not RG. But otherwise it's quite faithful to the design. The Galion is honestly quite nice. The head's actually pre-painted, which was a plus. Same for GaoGaiGar's helmet. The transformation is pretty simple, but it is there, and is faithful to the show. The robot mode is pretty nice, standard posability for an HG gundam of its size. DrillGao? It's a drill tank. The drills spin. That's it. Looks nice. SleathGao? Largely a single hunk of plastic. The bottoms of the wings can come off, though not sure why. Has a nice stand though. It's a jet. That's it. They can attach to Galeon by themselves. Stealth on the back, Drill on the hands. Stand can plug into the bottom of GaiGar to help. Pretty neat. Honestly, LinerGao isn't great. Since the shoulder parts are just pegged into the center, they can pop out. And they will when transforming. Otherwise? It's a train. That's it. The combined GaoGaiGar does look nice. Drill and Stealth transform relatively easy, though I've never gotten the mane bits around LinerGao without them popping off. They go right back on, so no big deal. Liner is a massive pain to transform right, and I'm still not sure if I did it right You've got some accessories. Larger hands for both GaiGar and GaoGaiGar, pop on and off relatively easy. As well as the combined hands for that special move whose name I've forgotten. The Dividing Driver is hard to get on the arm, but it does stay on well afterwards. It's faithful to the show transformation, and besides LinerGao it is fun to transform. Not bad posability wise, though nothing amazing. Probably not transforming mine back any time soon though If you like GaoGaiGar's design, then I'd recommend it. If not, then I wouldn't. |

While I'm at it, don't get Walker Gallia. It's terrible. Because of the lower half's transformation, the waist joint keeps rocking back. Some parts don't fit together well, and the two halves don't really lock together. Seriously, buy something else.
May post stuff on Ideon later. |
