Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.
We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger. The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords. Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded. Now that we’ve got that covered, Let’s Morphing! -+-+-+- The last qualifying round is here. There's one more spot to fill in the quarter finals, but this time we have three Rangers vying for it. So this time we need our Tardis, because this match is taking us to the extreme reaches of both space and time. Aurico "Hey Rocky, how fun was Forever Red... oh, right, you wouldn't know" of Aquitar http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Aurico vs. Leo "I'm too sexy for my shirt" Corbett http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Leo_Corbett vs. Jack "Stop calling me Kitty Pryde" Landors http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Jack_Landors Voting will last 24 hours. Will Leo go galactic for the win? Will Jack make his opponents need to call SPD emergency? Will Aurico get any pity votes? Which Ranger will reign supreme? Allez Ranger! |

Personally, I'm going with Leo. If you've seen the finale of Lost Galaxy and his final fight with Trakeena, you know why. Jack's cool and all, but Doggy was always the big hero on his show. And it's adorable that Aurico showed up.

Jack. Aurico barely got any screen time (appearing in a maximum of eleven episodes) and while I don't dislike Leo (in fact he is a very good character and my first red ranger) I have to go with Jack because he just had the best arc out of the three IMO.

This was hard. First, Aurico is getting his weird-ass forehead ass kicked. No question. I'm pretty sure Rocky could beat him. Without moprhing. The real challenge was choosing between Leo and Jack.
They're pretty evenly matched power wise. But this is how I saw the fight happening my head, on a neutral location. At first Jack would have the edge. He could keep Leo at a distance using his Blasters, given that the Galaxy Rangers have no real distance weapons. Forcing Leo to call on the Lights of Orion. This would allow him to block some shots, and force Jack to fight hand to hand. Here, I think Leo would have the edge. He's done nothing but fight hand to hand. So he'd be more comfortable taking Jack head on, until Jack eventually was able to call down SWAT Mode. Making them even again. The fight would drag along, neither having an edge, until they called on their ultimate weapons. The Battlizers. And here is why I think Leo would have the edge. Jack's Battlizer changing to Close Combat, while Leo's gives him distance. All he needs to do is pin Jack's arms with one of the claws. Pull him in close, and blast away like he did Drakeena. And it goes beyond how the fight would go. Jack wasn't a horrible Red Ranger. But during the course of the series, I think Leo grew more as a Leader. Became a true Red Ranger. So for those reasons, I'm sorry. But Jack, you've been Chopped. |

Jack.He started off as a thief, along with Z.Because of not only his friends life being in danger, but random strangers who were trying to catch him,he became a red.He showed leadership and pride from the beginning, was a great motivator, and could back up his words.
Aurico I have no problems with, but I wish there was more of him then just 15 episodes.I couldn't tell if he was a great leader or not based on just how long we got to see him. Leo *rip shirt for fanservice* Corbett. He was a good Red,without a doubt, and proved to be incredibly tough and durable.I never liked his Battleizer just for the fact it looked like a radio tower fell on him,and he moved like one did as well. The Lights of Orion,I guess you can consider them a power-up.He had a great backstory,I just liked Jack's better. In the end, gotta go with Jack.He proved to me to be the better Red cause even though he was told orders,he still sometimes took it upon himself to change those orders, which helped the team in the long run.His Battleizer is one of my favorites, having two modes to handle different situations(One part of it being light and fast, the other being a little slower but more powerful). And SWAT mode looks like a legit power up form for the team. And how could you say no to a Red who pilots a Megazord that turns into a giant double barrel death machine of the heavens? lol

Red Alien Ranger...no one even bothers to remember his name. I'm just going to laugh at him even being here.
Leo is...so-so. There's a lot better. He is an accidental red afterall. Also, put a shirt on. Jack is an overall decent leader with some rough spots (mostly the power going to his head at first). Plus, battle thong. It takes real courage to wear that. Winner. Last edited by Blade Raider; 04-24-2013 at 09:02 PM.. |
