This being said though, Matrix. I do feel as if Nintendo quite literally -has- been hashing out the same thing from the 1980s. Why? Because it works. Quite literally all the Pokemon games are the same. You catch Pokemon, fight eight leaders, plot, elite four, champion. Don't get me wrong, I love the hell out of Pokemon. But, if you are too blind to see this? You may want to get new googles, mate.

Heck, matrix's point is that the other companies don't get stick for it. Whilst I've not played lots of them I'm pretty sure all Halo, Gears of War, Kill Zone, God of war and heck probably ratchet and clank etc. are almost all identical with only a few changes. Nobody seems to care about this though as Sony and Microsoft have only been in the business for half the time that Nintendo has. Video games are like High concept movies/ blockbusters. They sell because of repetition and sequels etc just with slightly different stories, as far as I'm concerned I can see where the argument comes from but there are enough new features each time to make them fresh and fun. And besides, the WiiU is a perfect example of what happens when Nintendo step back. They get too much stick for locking out third parties, so they stepped back with WiiU to let them in and next to nobody wants to develop for it hence the dry spell, with Nintendo having to come along and save it with their games. Basically Nintendo just can't win. |

Playstation. Atleast I was a Playstation until they announced the 4, and I have the same problems with it as I have with the 720. Sorry Microsoft, I'm not calling it the One. Try harder. They tell you how they want nothing to come between the player and the game.. and then, in the next sentence, list off thirty things it does that come between you and the game. I'm sorry, but I don't enjoy multiplayer experiences much. I want my games to have a solid single player experience. Portal 2 comes to mind straight away. Solid single player experience with a deep rich story. I also don't like how the 4 automatically updates my Facebook and god knows what all else with what I'm doing in the game. Chances are, if I'm playing a game, I'm trying to ignore life and facebook and responsabilty. Know who that's for? The meatheads who buy a PS4 solely for Madden and CoD and call themselves Gamers. Look at Xbox 720! The launch titles are the new CoD game, and EA Sports! If that doesn't prove my point I don't know what else will. If nothing else, I'll be buying a WiiU looks like. When I play a game I just want to relax. That's all.

WiiU sales have gone up nearly 200% since Tuesdays announcement of the Xbox one
http://www.officialnintendomagazine....ox-one-reveal/ Whilst its cool and everything I don't really see why it's happened. Lots of people wanting to buy Lego city maybe? That's all I see adverts for for the WiiU . |

That's all I see adverts for for the WiiU . The Xbox One reveal has nothing (or little?) to do with it. Amazon cut the price of the Wii U by around £100, so sales have obviously picked up. Gaming blogs have just used the fact the Xbox was just announced with a negative reception to get more hits |
