If you like Evangelion and Gunbuster, try other classic Gainax titles like Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water and Royal Space Force: The Wings of HonnĂȘamise. Wings of Honneamise is probably the best anime that Gainax has done in my opinion and probably one of the best anime films ever made in my opinion.
I haven't watch any of Gainax's newer anime after Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt since I hear most of their staff move on to other companies. Even before Panty & Stocking, I find Gainax's work after Evangelion to be hit or miss. I like FLCL and I could not get into Melody of Oblivion. I did like Gurren Lagaan a lot when it was brand new, but I found myself getting sick of it as time went on. A lot of friends love Gurren Laggan and they would always play it when I would hang out with them. I don't think it is a bad series, but not the best thing ever made.

Watched everything I could of Little Witch Academia on Netflix (...freaking seriously... "we didn't want people to binge it too fast" being the excuse for not having it all at once is such utter bullshit from that platform of all things), so to fansubs it was!
Just finished episode 22. Holy hell did that one deliver. That one reveal explains pretty much... everything so far. Such brilliant work from Trigger here. LWA started out as a lot of lightheared fun. Didn't expect it to take the turn it has, but it's thoroughly enjoyable.

Just finished Stardust Crusaders. The big takeaway is JoJo has no fucking idea how long seconds last.
Still, I enjoyed Part 3 well enough, certainly more than the first couple. I didn't really dig the second half as much, since it started to feel pretty dragged out (and I don't know what point there was for Kakyoin to be absent for practically all of it), but it was alright. I'm actually looking forward to starting Part 4 soon. Unfortunately I had a lot of spoilers going into SC (including all the deaths), which was a bit lame. I know very little about Diamond is Unbreakable, though. Should be entertaining enough. On a different track though, what the fuck does Araki have against dogs? I lost track of how many of them were brutalized over the course of the show. I mean, I guess the series started with Dio burning one alive and so maybe I should have seen it coming, but, my god. While not amazing, LWA was a pretty good, fun show. I'm glad you're enjoying it. |

On the note of Araki and dogs, Araki has nothing personal against dogs, it's just that he wants readers/viewers to hate the antagonists so he has them kill dogs. He's even stated in an interview that his least favourite characters are people he purposely tries to draw as unpleasant and he uses Vanilla Ice and what he does to Iggy as an example, stating he felt legitimately sick when drawing the former.

Jojo has been around for a long time, so bumping into spoilers is going to happen. I think you will enjoy Part 5 and beyond. Part 7 is my favorite Jojo since Part 2 and we probably won't see a anime adaption of that until the next decade at this rate.

recently watched Laputa a Hayao Miyazaki film and noticed Nadia had a lot of similarities mainly due to Nadia anime was first thought up as the concept by Miyazaki himself.
