Huh... I knew he was red at points too, just went to Computron's TFWiki page earlier and saw all the shots there had him orange while an arm so figured that's the look Takara would go for. Still think it would have made for a better palette all around.
Think I will go with Takara, but still not going to place my order just yet. I did just buy MP Tracks though... Never had an interest in him but TFSource put him on sale for only $45 and that's kind of a good deal so figured why not?

Any hope of ever seeing that for a reasonable price (of which there was little, granted) went out the window right there. But yeah it sucks.

Done with Beast Wars II, it can be easily summed up as "stuff falls into gaia, then the Maximals react" sure, it gets a proper plot once Magnaboss and Nemesis are introduced, but the main part of the show is just a new set of toys being introudced and then they interact with both sides, rinse and repeat.
As such your enjoyment will come from how much you enjoy the light tone of the show and it's jokes, I had fun more often than not, but the Autoroller arc felt incredibly pointless even by II's standards, and... I'm not even sure what the Jointrons were aiming for, the infamous Mariachi brothers were... just plain odd, sure, they threw gratuitous spanish often, they had ponchos once, but for the most part they just were random and not really steretoypes as much as they were confusing. So yeah, BWII is not spectacular or a must watch by any means, it's just that curiosity that it has awlays been, the BW spin-off that only Japan knew, it has cool ideas and a lot of the characters have potential, but the format does not do it any favors. Still, had more fun than not. |

Apparently FunPub didn't put a limitation on how many somebody could buy and the first person in line literally bought all of them. Supposedly for BBTS. That part's just rumor but given the multiple accounts I've seen of them being bought by one person I believe that part, and that alone is disgusting regardless of by whom.

Beast Wars is 20 years old today. I remember I watching it on Fox Kids since it replace Power Rangers as the show that I would watch the most on Fox Kids. I love Beast Wars a kid and had the toys. The Megatron T-Rex figure was my favorite thing ever as a kid.

I fondly remember Beast Wars. My brother and I actively got the toys like mad. Something that I remember peeving me off is that so many characters never showed up in the series. While it did make it stronger ultimately, as a kid I just didn't like that about 3/4th of the Beast Wars toys I got were characters that never appeared
Still, I love it. I watched it all the time. I recent re-watched it last year, too~

Beast Wars was my first Transformers cartoon series. I didn't see G1 until like a year later. I was born in 1991, so I did miss out on G1 Transformers during it's prime in the 80's (before TMNT took over its popularity).
