The Gosei Red thing doesn't apply, since that's the current show. They probably don't think there's an adult demand for SHF of Goseiger in the US because of the lack of the nostalgia factor. I mean, they're wrong, but from their perspective it makes far more sense to do Zyuranger figuarts because the MMPR fans in the US are all adults hungry for nostalgia merchandise, whereas the vast majority of Megaforce fans are still children and not the market for SHF.

Don't be mistaken, there is a big fan base for Zyuranger in Japan. Pandering to this market is the next step. A sentai Figuart will always be a sentai figuart first and foremost because that's the market it's meant for at initial release. For BOJ and Tamashii Power Rangers is definitely secondary.

Plus when I was a kid I really couldn't understand most of what Kat said. Quote:
Not to aggravate the situation but they aren't really just sentai release in theory. In actuality these are sentai figures. Regardless of any pandering to the North American & Euro markets these are first and foremost sentai releases for Japan. Yes they are coming out the year of Power Rangers 20th Anniversary. But also remember that Zyuranger was revolutionary for the franchise in Japan. It was a huge turning point from the way things used to be. Especially in suit, mecha, and monster design. Way more risks were taken and audiences young and old loved it.

Still, the lines between Power Rangers and Super Sentai for me are somewhat blurred to be completely honest. It's all the same shit with different names, and admittedly most of my arguing about Power Rangers/Sentai is just semantics and nitpicking to my preferences... |

...Bluefin is not just a distribution company at this point. Tamashii Nation USA IS Bluefin, and the main employee for them scouts out the US Market for anticipated/demanded releases and sends them to Bandai Japan where he ALSO works half the time.
Mega Man. Dragon Ball Z. Daft Punk. MMPR/Zyuranger. NONE of those things would have happened or have continued if it wasn't for the demand overseas. Mega Man D-Arts were a huge flop, as were the first DBZ Figuarts. We matter more than you think. There's no need to underestimate it. This is starting to get off-topic however, so perhaps we should just swing back to the matter at hand, yes? The Power Rangers Anniversary has definitely helped with the release of these, I don't think we'd be seeing them so soon without the massive US fanbase.. But again, Zyuranger was also a huge show in Japan, it's been promoted recently in Akibaranger, they're still being released first there, Tiger Ranger will be male and the accessories are obviously more Zyuranger than PR. Nothing about this makes me think they've been at all designed as PR figures or for the PR fans. It just so happens that they also have a big fanbase over here that they can take advantage of. When we see the Titanium Ranger or Lord Zedd made, I'll take back what I've said. Until then, let's just enjoy the releases, no matter what name you want to call them. So does anyone think the individual weapons will combine?

It's definitely feasible, but outside of the Inordinate Powers, I don't remember anytime Bandai opted for actual combinations over a new molded accessory... The question is, if they do that, who the hell would it come with?

I could see them having the ability to combine. When Tyranno comes out we'll know. It's also a good possibility that they could include 2 versions of each weapon for each ranger. One for standard individual combat, and an altered "combined" weapon. Probably a little smaller with added tabs to build the Howling Cannon. Bandai has taken to releasing 2 versions of weapons quite a bit recently. Like Gosei Knight's Leon Laser or Bouken Red's Javelin.
