Yeah to be fair I was pretty unimpressed with my first Figuart back when, anyone remember the Marvel Legends toys? Figuarts are practically the same concept, only not actually as well made (since you could actually play with the Legends) going for collectors prices.
I know Legends didn't come with all the hands and accessories and stuff but with all the hype the actual build quality of most Figuarts isn't actually that much better than any other figure.

You have to remember that, before Figuarts were first released, your options for Kamen Rider figures were:
The scarce and unreliably scaled Souchaku Henshin, the 12 inch and incredibly expensive Project BM figures, or the small vinyl figures. There may have been others, but those 3 were pretty much it before Figuarts.

I don't consider Marvel Legends all that well made. Their necks were very distracting and took away from the character. Mattel did a great job with DC Universe Classics (well, most of it), but I still think Figuarts are vastly superior. I guess if you are referring to drop testing them, then yes, Marvel Legends would be fine compared to Figuarts, but I don't drop test my figures. I did that as a kid and now wish I hadn't.

Goddammit. Oh well, that sounds like an easy fix.
What the fuck. Why do they do that on these supposedly high-end figures? And I just realised that Sieg's back of box photography shows him with calm hands he doesn't come with, but desperately needs. I'm a bit surprised Figuarts took off considering how the line started, but then again it's not like there was an alternative. These things are very nice for their scale and price. I keep it in mind when I'm buying them that they are just toys not the people in suits they represent. And I don't buy SHF's based on the pictures on the box so if it's doing something crazy on there I don't really care

Hardly. I didn't even mention how inaccurate to the design Sieg is.
The problems I have are easily fixable problems that don't exist in other figures. Limited hands count, joint tolerances, stuff that I know isn't that hard to fix. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the SICs which may cost more, but are damn near perfect. |

Any production run of anything will inevitably have issues, it's just the nature of mass production. I can't help that your basing your opinion on the only 2 older releases you've had the chance to handle rather than looking at the line as a whole. Seriously you're expecting too much out of these things for their price and scale.

Even now-a-days, while some Figuarts do have little problem, it doesn't ruin the entire figure. Even releases that weren't as popular, like Red Buster and the OOO releases, are still really good toys despite their set-backs.
Like others have said, dumping on a whole line based on two of its first releases while also saying that SIC, which started with poor QC and fragility, is a perfect line shows you need way more experience handling figures from both lines, both older and newer releases, before making a hard conclusion. Both have pros and cons.

His issues carry over to Blue and Yellow as well. But in all honesty? At the rock bottom prices Red Buster is sitting happily at he's worth every penny.
