Will this be on TubiTV like Kamen Rider and Shout's Sentai releases are?

Finally, a reason for me to rewatch Kuuga outside of FS' thread.

Well, if Kuuga's older subs were infamous for being shit, maybe this will convince me that maybe the subs were just bad, and not the show itself.
I've been meaning to give the show a rewatch with the translated Grongi, anyway.

If that means "multiple subtitle tracks", that's actually a good thing, because it matches what Japan got. If not, yeah, that could be a bummer.
Still, very exciting! As I'm learning from watching MCS' subs again, Kuuga had some really complex dialogue that frequently got really butchered, too, so hopefully this puts an end to that problem, and English-speaking Rider fans can finally know what Yuusuke was saying to Mika at the end of episode 43, among other barely comprehensible conversations. The subs for the OG show were fantastic from what I watched so far, but that show is a lot easier to work with, because it doesn't require you to be paying attention to subtext, or time certain lines to match up with certain bits of body language or anything like that. On the other hand, if we can get good subs for Kuuga, we can get good subs for anything. No matter what, I'm really looking forward to this!

Still trying to figure out how to even view TokuSHOUTsu stuff. I get a ton of PlutoTV channels on my TV, and Shout Factory's channel (so Super Sentai subs all Sunday), but nothing with this name. I wondered if it's a block that airs on a general PlutoTV channel, but I don't have a channel that's just PlutoTV.
My access to any of these is a byproduct of having a newish smart TV. I didn't even know channels were coming packaged with it. EDIT: Never mind, figured it out. Streaming service. I got confused because a lot of PlutoTV content appears on my TV for free; I have no idea on what basis. Last edited by Tokumonkey; 04-29-2020 at 11:12 AM.. |

I'm doubting whether they'll use the SD quality version used on the DVDs or the slightly crappy HD remastering (Upscaled Modified component masters, slight sharpening and noise reduction) from the Blu-ray Box...

I'm wondering the same. Video quality is the main hurdle for enjoying this series. I hope whatever they use it's better than some of the fansubs I've seen.
