Childish was probably the wrong word to describe how he acted normally but Jiraiya had a much wider ranged, is that the right term for that?, personality when compared to the other members of the team. Some episodes, he could be just as serious as Tsurihime was. Others, he got into the same silly shenanigans that Saizo and Seikai did. It really depended on the episode.
When ever I think of Jiraiya though, two different episodes immediately come to mind. The serious episode when he was forced to battle the main who raised him... and the episode where he became so interested in a Samurai TV Show that he started emulating what he was seeing on TV. Jiraiya had awesome focus episodes. Relatively speaking. |

I've just finished Maskman episode 44 and 45 and I enjoyed them quite a bit. I'm always up for more Akira focused episode and damn did he kick some serious ass this episode. The strangest part about this episode though was the reaction everyone on the team had to the idea that Akira may have been from the Underground. While I don't know if I'd go so far as to say they hated the idea of Akira being from the Underground, the way they were talking and dismissing the idea came across as very... odd. They've meet good people from the Underground, several times in fact. This two parter even had a pair of them as guest stars. Why did they find the idea of Akira being from the Underground so bad?
In other news, *gasp* Igam's a girl! How surprising!... Said somebody, somewhere, I'm sure... |

Just started Go-Busters not too long ago and...Eh, it's ok so far. Enter really interests me as a villain though, I hope he's as good as people say he is. Debating on picking up another season too, maybe Gekiranger, maybe Shinkenger.

The villains are basically a lamer version of Changeman's Gozma Star League, whereas the Fivemen themselves are alright. Over all it's no masterpiece but aside from a few episode it wasn't really that bad either. Tending between 6 and 7 out of 10. |

I'm at the halfway point for Kyoryuger Brave, and it's not that bad. It's not great, either, but its certainly a short, enjoyable spin-off of a show I loved, and has the same kind of energy that made me fall in love with the original.

About 12 episodes through of Goseiger. I'm willing to wait until GoseiKnight comes in, as I'm getting a little bit bored

After pausing GoGoV and any of the current shows because I just needed a break, I started Hurricaneger a few days ago for university research (no kidding), I feel like I'm slowly getting back into toku as a whole. While Hurri has some pretty standard stuff in stock plots and concepts, it is rather interesting and I enjoy the character dynamic a lot so far. The scrubs are pretty okay for what they are, they have some edges sometimes, but they are rather accurate so far. Then again, I'm only a handful episodes in, let's see how they hold up when we get to the juicy parts of the plot. |

The second half of Goseiger is the hardest one to get through of them all. The Yuumajuu are painfully boring and dull to sit through.

Continued Ohranger with some friends. One of whom's developed a crush on OhYellow/Yuki/ayumi hodaka. He was very happy with the swimsuit episode.

So, if you remember, I was watching Kakuranger, said I was not excited by the first episode or 2, then made no more comments. Well, it's finished now, and I loved it, despite my initial reservations! Oh, where to start...
For one, the cast was probably the most lovable I've seen yet, with Tsuruhime and Jiraiya as my favorites by the end. Tsuruhime was portrayed like the protagonist of the show, instead of Sasuke, which was really cool, and Jiraiya was just adorable. Even my least favorite of the Kakurangers, Saizou, was far from terrible. The show was also absolutely hilarious, its bizarre sense of humor was spot on, and has aged really well. The Santa episode nearly killed me. In addition, while the show was largely comedic, when it did choose to have more dramatic episodes, it handled those excellently too. It was a really solid all-around package. Sorry Dairanger, you have nothing on this!
