I had this thing preordered for so damn long I ended up cancelling it because it just seemed like a dropped project.
Guess I'll grab it again, though the next few months are so stacked with releases...

How good are the behind the scenes details? Anything good that we might not already know via linkaras HOPR?

I'm pretty sure the book provides insights for things that are more than his opinion. The sample photos show all sorts of great art and behind the scenes info. I'm not even a Power Ranger fan much these days and this book looks incredible. I don't get why the comparison to Linkara is even made. |

Well duh. HOPR was first and foremost a review series, sure he provided interesting insight and trivia, but it was always intended to be his take on each season, not a completely unbiased overview of the series.
Book does look awesome though, I preordered it (again), definitely going to be a great collector's piece. I guess my issue is, the question regarding Linkara is completely unrelated to the source material. |

Fair enough. It is kind of odd that he's come to be viewed as such. I loved his HOPR series and found getting his insight and impressions to be really fun, and he definitely provided some details I was not privy to before, but I never really took him as some expert, especially given that he hadn't watched a good portion of the series prior to doing the episode for a given season and he was definitely not knowledgeable on the Sentai half of things more or less at all.
I guess it's just an effect of him doing such a long running series and providing that trivia that people sorta look to him that way, even if most of it was stuff you could probably find if you took the time to Google around for interviews or check wiki trivia pages.

Sorry I brought him up. I learned a lot after watching his reviews and while yes he is whiney as hell he is still a member of the hypothetical power force or whatever the hell it is I thought? I figured that mattered.
Whatever sorry I brought him up. |

I wasn't specifically targeting you in my response decepticus. I just see so many people see Linkara as this expert. He's just a guy who reviewed a TV show with the initial promise he wouldn't be biased about it but that didn't really work out.
I don't necessarily hate the guy, but between him and this book? I'd rather get the book. Especially if I want insider information that Linkara wouldn't know. I apologize I came off the way I did. As I said, I don't hate him, but I don't get this need for some fans to act they way they toward him either. |

but regarding how Linkara's word became gospel it's most likely due to him being one of the most popular internet personalities to talk about the series without comparing it to the Sentai or not treat it as a stupid show for kids to sell them toys |
