I liked the movie a lot. It was very well done. I think it was to dark in parts. But it was still a grate movie. Grate cast. I hope there will be a next movie. I can't wait to buy the dvd. I'm thinking the dvd will hit late May early June.

I was ripping on this movie a number of times in my webcomic POW! Right in the Nostalgia, over the last year and two months before its release with my characters until I finally saw it in the theater...so I made a comic that basically apologizes for all that...
(I put it as an attachment as I figured it wouldn't be a good idea to have the full size page just plastered on here.) But yeah, this is one of those rare movies that I went into expecting crap and ended up leaving the theater feeling entertained. Definitely interested to see how the Dragonzord and Lord Zedd will look in the inevitable sequel. My webcomic, POW! Right in the Nostalgia: http://powrightinthenostalgia.thecomicseries.com/

Saw it on Saturday night (after being at SC Comicon all day, heh...), and it delivered the goods. I had an absolute blast watching this movie, and am eager to see it again. It's not a perfect movie, it's not a "critic's movie," but it is what a feature length, big budget Power Rangers movie needed to be in 2017, and I thought it rocked.
I thought the conversation between Kimberly and Jason, where Jason says (paraphrasing) "Be the person you want to be" really nailed it.

I don't want this to come off as negative because it truly isn't: the best film to compare this to is the most recent Godzilla. I can't say why (but if you've seen PR you'll get exactly what I mean) but I don't mean that in a bad way.
This is a film that makes me want a sequel NOW. This isn't Assassin's Creed where I went "Okay, I saw it, never want to see it again, not interested in a sequel". It is a film that I want to see more of and I want to see how the sequel pushes further and expands more. In short... it is Day of the Dumpster on the big screen. Just like when i first watched that I want to see the next episode. I want to see MORE... only now I'll have to wait a few years. |

Liked it. My 8-year-old daughter LOVED it. Aside from a few nitpicks (for the very small amount of time the Rangers are in suits, they also wear the visors UP for half of THAT...boo!), it's a solid enough film.

Loved it. Could have done with a bit more suit action and I won't deny there were a few questionable choices here and there, but all in all it was a solid, enjoyable film. In two hours this cast had tons more character and personality than most of the original did in 100+ episodes.
But yeah just saw it tonight, this film was a blast, I absolutely loved it. Elizabeth Banks did an awesome job as Rita, she managed to nail the over the top goofiness the original Rita had but at the same time add a menacing tone to the character. Billy was also another highlight, he's the definietly the heart and soul of the film. |

Already posted in the spoiler thread, but I figured I would post in here for anyone still on the fence about seeing it. Though all I really have to say is this: Go see it.
No, seriousley, go frakking see it. The trailers didn't do this justice, and imho this is the best thing to come out of this franchise. I'd go into why, but really, it's just got to be something you experience yourself.
