I think Bandai swung and missed when it came to the whole "Build a Megazord" idea. No one wants a semi-articulate 7inch Megazord - they want their Rangers with all their gear.
I expect in 2018 the end of "Build a Figure" and more fully painted weapons.

Should they discontinue the Build a Figure Megazords and focus on having Rangers with all their stuff, I would fully anticipate them re-releasing the MMPR rangers with the white belts and their power weapons.
Bandai takes every opportunity to keep MMPR on the shelves.

You're more optimistic then me the way Bandai's been talking I don't know if the line will last that long.

The white belts I could see a rerelease for online vendors but I don't know if store want to restock this stuff.
I do like the tiny megazords but I'd rather get those on their own then having to buy all the rangers. Like Bandai you already got the big megazords coming. Put in the weapons and cut the nonsense. Personally I like the body types of the male rangers. It's the westerner in me. Our men aren't that small. Look at our superheroes in the comics and movies. I think they've gotten them down to a size where they don't look like steroid abuse. They look like the American/New Zealand actors we tend to get. That said I would mind if the molds in the future got tweaked for the guys because I just don't want different paint jobs or a else having 6 different red rangers where the only difference is in the head........won't make it seem worth it. Now the women.........dear lord Bandai not that is horrendous. I heard a rumor that the female figures weren't selling. Well for me, first and foremost they look horrible. Bandai we have the internet, we don't need porn rangers. Cut that nonsense out. I'd much rather have the female Figuarts if they are going to continue that nonsense. Then build wise it's a mess. So the arms are so so small and thin. Like did the female rangers how have skin and muscle? Then it's the feet. They made them so small that the figure can barely stand up. Now let's talk about the skirt. Um it's a nice design but geeze I want the same articulation as the guys. It's the little things on these figures which perplex me in some ways. Like if they didn't make the female figures so small, they be better as a base for the articulation for the male figures in the torso reason(more or less shared by the figuarts). Now stuntmen wise I guess it depends but no ranger even with the actors in the suits have had their boobs poking at the camera with their super tiny waist that implies they have no organs. And some of the ladies had the chest for it. Last edited by Neoblackdragon; 12-17-2016 at 10:31 PM.. |

That would certainly be an interesting idea, just as long as they wouldn't leave any of the started BAF Megazords incomplete. That said, I don't imagine the line will live long enough for such a change to happen. Though I hope it either does, or they find a way to make the BAF Megazords work.

2018 is so far away though. Will the Legacy line even make it that far?

I think bandai should reissue the MMPR figuarts.. I already have, them, but I'd probably pick up a second set if they were reasonably priced.. Say $40-$50 each.
I'd also like to see figuarts MMPR movie versions. (Oh, and goldar, zedd, and Sphinx while they're at it lol) As for this line.. I think they look good, but for some reason the lack of silver teeth on the green and red rangers helmets have totally turned me off of getting them. The exclusion of those minor (but major for the overall look) paint apps screams "cheap" to me. |

You know what I would like? Get rid of the Megazord piece, give us their weapon, and then use that extra plastic to give us a Legacy Villain. Zedd for Wave 1, Goldar Wave 2, and then begin moving into the other series.
