Well they already established the named Tommy. I know there are girls whose name is Tommy, but I think maybe they'll go with a transgender route? Make it a girl but she views herself as a guy, hence the name Tommy.

I doubt it. They'll probably just make it Tommi, or Tomi if they cast a girl.

saw the film yesterday i really enjoyed it. also i might be one of the few people that liked ranger action at the end. i did like how jason wanted zordon to deal with rita he make the final choice. at the same time i loved the nod i noticed. even that zyuranger one. i taking as nod to zyuranger with trini brouthers wanting to play as one of the ranger. seeing JDF and Amy Jo in as civillins with there old ranger colour on them amy wearing a pink jacket and JDF wearing a green tank vest top. were nice touch. for me i would not mind if they become the parents of the new tommy character. also did love the begining with zordon being the former red and seeing green ranger suit. the thing i did like was selfish ness of zordon in this film. where all he really caraed about was getting out of the morphin grid to then lead the new team of ranger but then decided to stay save billy life.
the character i link to myself most was billy mainly due to the fact im also on the autism specturm with aserges and i related to him alot. through the film.

The fact that Zordon has an actual arc is the most compelling reason for me to see this.

I liked the film, but one thing I didn't like was how both Zordon and the team acted so selfish and stubborn throughout most of the movie.
You had this pushy, prick of a face on the wall, barking orders- then you had 5 punk-ass kids reacting like, "Who the Hell are you to order us around? This is BS dude- you're just a wall."- and that ate up most of the movie- it was kind of ridiculous how long it lasted. It took a dead, autistic, African American kid to bring the team around. I hate to put it that way, but that's literally what happened. That's what it took. I watched Billy come back to life, and moments later, when they walked out in their suits for the first time, I honestly thought: So that's what it took eh....a dead, autistic, African American kid...that's what it took to make this happen( points to them walking out).....I hate to say it, but if that's what it takes to make these rangers unite: They're serious a-holes man. Stubborn, selfish, immature, a-holes. LOL Now I'm looking at it like: What's it going to take to make a green or white ranger work with the other 5? A dead d-syndrome child? A bag full of dead puppies? The rest of the film was great, but what broke the camel's back and finally brought them together: That was a bit much imo. It shouldn't have taken that much. lol Last edited by Phaseborg; 03-27-2017 at 11:38 AM.. |

And I agree, I loved the 30 seconds where they fought the putties, but honestly, I could have used 20 times more non-zord-based combat. (Also, using Zords to fight putties breaks Zordon's second rule of not escalating the fight, IMO.) |

You know what I mean. They didn't have their big "Super Legendary Lightning Cut" (or whatever the Power Rangers equivalent was) finisher moment, which I think could have come after the suplex, and would have been pretty easy to implement.

But it's just more fun to watch the Rangers beat up putties. Makes them look like badasses who can handle even legions of rock monsters.

Perhaps you possibly missed my point. They could've killed pink, red, or black- but yellow and blue: They shouldn't have touched. Primarily because of their mentally challenged and LGBT characteristics. But of all the members to kill: They chose blue. Autistic, African American Blue. Now, keep in mind: I'm not mentioning those things to be rude or remotely offensive- I'm mentioning them because that's literally what he was and that's literally what happened- just being clear on that. Don't you think it's pretty bad that it took the death of an autistic, African American kid to bring the rest of them together? Doesn't that strike you as bothersome- at all? Those factors being there? They could've listened from the beginning and cooperated, but they refused, complained, made a giant fuss- and the thing that finally broke the camel's back and brought them together: A dead, autistic, African American kid. Come on...if that's what it takes for them to morph: I don't know about you, but to me, that's pretty bad. LOL It shouldn't have taken that for it to finally click and work- and It doesn't just make their characters look bad, but look at me! I'm an audience member and I'm acknowledging it. I can't be the only one who feels this way- surely there have to be more fans with similar reactions to mine. It was a bit much imo, and it does make them look pretty bad. |
