No giant robot fight? When was the last time that happened? The first episode of LuPat?
Anyway, this was a great episode. I quietly respect Koh for being the first Red in ages to not merely avoid being the center of attention, but actually be a background character in a lot of episodes. Now, the problem with that is that this entire plot feels a bit out of nowhere. Ryusoulger is extremely lax about long-term plotting, and just inventing a backstory for one of the main characters halfway through the show seems reflective of that. In a more cohesive show, we would've at least gotten some hint of this early on, even if this kind of episode still didn't happen until later. But... like I said, the episode is quite good. Regardless of how we got here, Koh has loads more depth to his personality now, and like some other particularly strong episodes of this show, there's a pretty solid message at the center that isn't so obvious as to be banal, and also isn't delivered in a ham-fisted way, so bonus points for that.

Strong episode. Nada felt like someone they threw in there to remind Koh of Master Red's teachings without repeating what they did for blue and pink. He doesn't feel all too necessary so far but seems like he's sticking around.
Koh's backstory is actually pretty interesting. He used to be violent as a kid, and learned kindness from Melt. Even though he lost his kindness, he can always regain it again. I love that. Melt is also kind of the gel that bonds the main three together, which is refreshing. Gaisorg is badass. I hope we see more of him soon. Best gag in the episode was when all the villains were being blinded by the light and Wyzil lifted his hat up to see what it was all about just to end up blinded himself lol. |

Good episode. Koh having a violent side made him more interesting for me.
I wonder what they plan in introducing Nada? They couldn't possibly be suggesting that he's Gaisorg, could thay? And as always Kreon and Wyzul continues to entertain me weekly. "Get me some shades. Some cool ones." Yeah stay as you are Kreon.
