Their subs for that episode were shockingly good. I still prefer OT's take, but Abaranger looks like it's in good hands. |

This might sound weird but how safe is the TV-Nihon site to get subs from never really gone to sub site before and worried about viruses and adware, also which is more accurate Overtime or TV-Nihon for their subs?

TV Nihon's don't make sense unless you know a bunch of Japanese. Even then, the translations are clunky and often nonsense. But they'll do in a pinch. |

TVN's torrents are clean, at least I've never had a problem with them. The DDL sites can be a little iffy. As suggested, KRDL is a good place to get from, though they don't have everything. TVN and Overtime are both fairly accurate, in my experience. For a lot of folks it boils down to taste: Overtime tends to over translate things, whereas TVN leaves a lot of Japanese intact.

Thanks for the suggestions might go for the KRDL, mostly concerned with gokaiger and the newer stuff. Also thanks for the heads up on DDL sites always anxiety + downloads = nightmare for me.

TVN's scripts tend to be as literal as possible, often translating things word for word, even when the dialogue doesn't really fit English grammar. They also tend to leave several words untranslated when there's no easy English equivalent (and sometimes when there is). Some of their earlier shows do have some known translation issues. Over-Time tends more towards localized translations, which are not 100% word-for-word, but tend to adhere more to the original intent of the dialogue, only in English. |

Personally I fucking hate TVNs encodes in general. They use horrible file containers and do god knows what to the video so it always looks like shit. And for your trouble you get a half finished translation, where even the English portions are bound by Japanese grammar so it really never makes sense or reads right.
OT rips are perfect for me, the video quality is always great and although some people like the preservation of Japanese terminology and stuff I honestly couldn't care less. I'd rather just know what the characters are saying. So I'm happy for OT to take creative liberties and turn over every stone to make it work fully in English, it isn't like they ever fully make dialogue up or change anything, but sometimes when there isn't a literal translation for a name or something they do the best equivalent which I'm fine with. But some people act like stuff like that is sacred. Only prop to TVN is OT cast a pretty small net. If you're looking for an older show, or something outside of the big three (including GARO) then you're flat out of luck with OT. TVN have translated almost a little of everything at one point or another.

You guys are forgetting the best thing about TVN: fancy text graphics!
Yes I'm kidding.

One last dumb question for the KRDL downloads will i need to download a program to properly view the files and are they all on one? Sorry for asking so many questions and I do appreciate the replies to them.
