I finished Persona 5 yesterday. I bought it for like 3€ at a Black Friday sale last year. I know, there's an updated, better version coming out next month. The thing is: I didn’t know if I would even like it, I played Persona 4 ages ago and that one I only played for a couple of minutes. So for 3 bucks I gave it a shot. 80 hours of playtime later, can't say that wasn't worth my money. Quite the opposite in fact.
Loved it. The gameplay is fun, the characters are great and the graphics are sweet. The style of the game is so unique. Just the way the UI works, the transitions are done, all with that great soundtrack - it's stylized as hell, in just the right way. I went into it for the RPG as I'm not a fan of social simulations, but I quickly got the hang of it mostly because interacting with the characters was fun and the whole idea of your party members getting stronger / better if you spend time with them is very well thought out. So yeah, I liked this one. And now I'm looking forward to forgetting all about it and then buying the updated version for another 3 bucks in a couple of years Currently I’ve tackled another franchise I was unfamiliar with: Phoenix Wright. I bought the compilation on Steam when Capcom had their sale last week, I've been wanting to check this series out for a long time but never quit got to a good starting point. I'm very close to finishing the first game in the trilogy and I enjoyed it so far. The characters are super fun and the courtroom battles are quite thrilling really. I feel bad about it but one time I actually had to look something up because I wasn't getting anywhere - only to find that the answer was blatantly obvious. Well, good thing I didn’t become a lawyer or anything. |

I did finish Mario Odyssey a while back and I enjoy the game a lot. The map layout is amazingly fun to explore though. I did wish the game was harder because I didn't think it was that hard. You lose coins when you die and you have so many coins in the game. I feel like there was no risk when I die because I know that I will never get a Game Over.
I do think it is the best 3D Mario game to date (Even better than Super Mario 64 for having better controls and camera). I give it an 8/10.

I have been doing my own Doom marathon since last year and replaying all of them up to the release of Doom Enetral. I'm getting Doom Enetral for my birthday in a few weeks from now, so it gives me some more time to replay these games.
My Doom ratings: Doom - The one that started it all and I consider the game to be perfect. The game is still amazing if you ask me. Perfect 10/10 Doom 2 - Bigger and better than the first game in my opinion. I consider Doom 2 to be the Empire Strikes Back of the Doom series. Dom 64 - Just as amazing as the first two games. However, the Demon Mother is a pain in the ass to defeat. Doom 3 - I loved Doom 3 back in the mid-2000s on the original Xbox, but this game did not hold up well for me. I still think it's a good game with an amazing atmosphere and the game is pretty scary at times, but the gameplay style did not work for Doom in my opinion. It's a good game, but not a good Doom game. Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil - Pretty meh in my opinion. I'm almost done with Doom 2016 and my opinion on the game is still the same when I first completed back in 2016. It's the best FPS game of the 2010s and a fantastic reboot/sequel in my opinion.
