All I can say is, MANLY FUCKING TEARS.
You are a hero. Goggle you should always let your buddy (me) know when you're going to Japan so you can help me purchase things And is that the upper torso of the Gosei Great suit? Or is it the static model? Either way, I would have to have gotten my pic with that beauty.

I believe it's just a large scale bust. I actually intentionally brought a small suitcase and barely enough clothes for the trip so I WOULDN'T buy too much. That only meant I had to buy an extra bag in Tokyo to bring back stuff I intended not to buy...

Sadly, I believe the old location of the museum had a much larger section dedicated to toku stuff, but now its all just lumped together. There were lots of little things that made it feel like they weren't caring for the toys as much as most collectors would. You could see lots of yellowing on figures in the cabinets from the harsh lights they used.
Quote:
It's the little things that really get me, like the Daizyujin missing the Pteranodon chest and with a broken/fallen Triceratops horn casually at its feet, or the hilarious mislabeling of the Mechagodzillas by year, or the incredible and far-reaching selection of Ultraman monsters in that play area! I own like half of them but the other half I wish I did! The inclusion of the American Godzilla toy is a little silly as it's not even a Bandai figure - that's by Trendmasters, whose toys Bandai did import in place of doing a toyline of its own.
That Super Premium Godzilla at the entrance, maaaaaaaan. So fitting, so happy to see it actually included in the museum somewhere. |

Also since I don’t think this warrants another topic, but some pics of the much awe inspiring 1:1 scale Gundam in Tokyo for comparison. Full set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/siningy...7636666165183/
Gundam HDR-2 by siningy, on Flickr Gundam HDR-1 by siningy, on Flickr DSC_1303 by siningy, on Flickr DSC_1368 by siningy, on Flickr Gundam Front is located on the top floor of Diver City. They have a paid area I didn’t bother to go into, as well as a large shop of gunplay and overpriced Gundam merchandise as well as this amazing display of Gunpla from the old MSG era stuff to modern day Gunpla Builders stuff. Dude... I should ask my cousin living over in Japan if I could come for a visit and go to this place. The amount of awesome on display here is amazing. I think I could spend a whole day there just drooling over all those awesome sentai displays.
And that huge Mega Man (Rock Man) display in one of your photos. Anything Mega Man and I'm excited.
