Hello everyone! I've started a little side project with a lot of fans to dub the entire series of kamen rider gaim! Because of this I need other people who want to do voices! We're currently 20 members strong and we're looking for people interested! We threw together a preview and an English theme song in a few hours. None of this is final yet and it's all for fun but we would love to have more people on board who have decent microphones and would like to give it a shot!
You can check out the preview here If you want to help in anyway please add our Skype at: gaimdubvin Also feel free to bookmark or sub to our YouTube if your just interested in watching the final product. This is all for fun and no profit and we hope everyone will help. Thanks a lot |

I'm not really one for fandubs, personally. If I have the option I'll always take the original audio with subtitles.
That said, the song turned out pretty good. You seem to have done a good job of keeping the meaning while adjusting the words to still fit the meter. The narration at the beginning feels too low key, though. It sounds more like your actor is just reading the script and isn't putting any emotion or weight into it. |

I agree with Switchblade on the narration part. But I like what your trying to do. Keep up the good work. Wish I could help. Sadly I can't right now. Maybe on a future project?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it! The final version I'll deffinatly make sure to have more emotion into that. also I'd love to have you help with a future project. If you guys want you could always be test viewers. I could send you early versions and you could check if there needs to be better emotion and adjustments to make it perfect.

Why hello there, fellow fandubbers! (Okay admitted, I rarely do fandubs anymore, mostly just on request)
So far, your project seems really promising As for the intro speech, I'd also go with what everyone else said. It sounds a lot like just reading, but it should sound more like story-telling, more emotional, with some more pathos Also: microphone-quality. I highly recommend getting a better mic with clearer audio quality. I've heard worse than the one used for the speech, but it still has this slight "telephone-sound" to it. The opening sounds good so far, though personally, I had trouble understanding the lyrics. Pronouncing the words somewhat clearer and a bit more intense would help the sound, I guess. Also, I don't know if that happened to do the regular singing and the edited singing being mixed together, but it kinda sounds like the mic was overdriven at some points? Thanks for all the tips. We deffinatly have to have the cast get better quality mics and I'll be looking into it. Also the sound overlapping is just using some of the original music audio for sound effects. We won't need that once we get actual sound effects for that scene but I'll edit it better towards the end. Thanks so much and hopefully this will come out good!

The signing part was pretty good but I do wish that more emotion and weight into the acting. I feel like the opening could have been much better since it felt like that you were reading things off hand. Not bad, it could be much better in my opinion.

I just finished doing a one-man fan dub of Gaim for my kids (because they can't read fast enough to keep up with the subtitles), and I was wondering if anybody had tried dubbing a Kamen Rider show.
I agree with everybody else that your narrator could use a little something. Gravitas, I guess. This seems pretty obvious, but I'm hoping the final version will be from a raw video source without the English subtitles along the bottom. They're pretty distracting. |

I also agree that the narrator needs a bit more energy. Loved the song, though.
