I saw in the SDCC thread that megazords will continue in build-a-figure only effectively killing the traditional megazords that have been remolded for a sleeker more show accurate design. The last of this era will be black and gold Titanus. Legacy Shogun Megazord may never get a release. Could this be true?
If so the argument given is the poor sales of Titanus and Thunder Megazord. But if that's true then why a black and gold repaint of Titanus? Aren't repaints reserved for toys with successful sales quotas? |

Now now, don't all comment at once. You'll get your turn.

By build a figure, do you mean zord builder? Because I'm pretty sure that the legacy ones are compatible with zord builder. I haven't heard anything about this though, but I'm curious.

All Power Rangers Megazords, regardless of the line (...sans movie) will feature the Build A Zord connector ports. There was never a statement regarding the demise of Legacy Megazords.
Speculation is that the Legacy Shogun Megazord is next but that the price tag is quite high and either Toys'R'Us is getting cold feet, or Bandai is trying to minimize the price by going back and trimming features off it (diecast, paint apps, etc.). I have no direct quotes from anyone, but I was part of a conversation with someone who knows what's going on, and when asked why we haven't seen it yet, the response was "I'm just as surprised as you are". That leads one to believe it's ready. Chances are, as with all Bandai America releases, it will leak at an online retailer first.
