Anyway, the only other problem I had with Dekaranger is the arbitrary last minute tacking on of crimes to justify Termination.
Spend an entire episode chasing/fighting a creepy stalker obsessed with some chick?
*JUDGMENT TIME*
Find out he destroyed 5 planets and is a Nazi Space Shocker Satanist.

To be honest, not to be political, but the necessity of capital punishment in almost every episode (if Power Rangers SPD is any indication) would be my main beef with Dekaranger. I guess it's a gimmick of the show, but it feels like a child playing with fire, that is, a more simple show tackling subject material that is way too dark for its age range.

They're evil intergalactic murderers, thieves, arsonists, etc. I see no qualm with using that as an excuse to delete them. As opposed to every other sentai where the bad guys are just bad, and have to be destroyed. At least there's some reasoning here if nothing else.

Watched Battle Fever J episodes 14 and 15 today both Battle France centric episodes that were much needed, enjoying him more so. Episode 15 really changed things in the battles like the Penta Force and the Battle Fever Robo's finishers. I wish there were better quality subs but I'll live because I love the show so much.

It's a touchy subject, so I'm not gonna start it.
I just don't like how, during the first half, seemingly minor criminals turnout to be genocidal maniacs that the viewer doesn't find out about until judgment time.
"This monster stole a chocolate bar!" *JUDGMENT TIME* "And is wanted for murder on 300 planets!"
"This guy dined and dashed!" *JUDGMENT TIME* "And assisted in the destruction of 10 planets!"
"The alien jaywalked!" *JUDGMENT TIME* "And destroyed 20 entire solar systems!"

What Matrix said is what I think is annoying. All Sentai series have destroyed their monsters of the week without prejudice, so nothing new there. But they have to stretch around to frame it in a "judgment" sort of way that feels really off to me.
But I suppose they really must be crooks to have done such serious offenses.

Like I said. Purse snatchers will be revealed to be mass murderers.
They always deserve it, but it just feels off when a thief turns out to be the freaking Jigsaw killer.
And before someone gets on my case, I know for the most part most criminals they fight are already known murderers or they commit the murder on screen. I was just over exaggerating for a point

I don't consider Jan and Ban to be anything like each other. Ban is loud, annoying, and obnoxious. He shouts every minute. I swear, if DekaRanger was a manga, Ban's dialog would always be in CAPS.
Jan, on the other hand, was raised in the jungle. He has a reason to act the way he does, as he was never really part of society. Of course he is going to have his own babble of words, that is just how he was brought up. Do you expect someone who was raised in the jungle to be able to speak properly?

That's a fair enough point.
But from an outside view, from someone who has only seem snippets of either series, their similarities are quite glaring.
Though Jan having a reason to be like that does make his actions a lot less annoying, to me.
