Not a ton of info to go at the moment, but it appears a 2.0 release or possibly even reissue of at least Gavan Type G is on the way!
"Space Squad" is the term being used for the Gavan/Dekaranger team-up movie in which Gavan Type G will be next appearing. Likely the driving force behind this new figure. A renewal of the standard classic Gavan was last seen at Tamashii Nations 2014. Release details are not available at this time.

Ooooooh!
I'm not big on type G, but this gives me hope for some more Space Sheriffs. That said, I would much rather have silver paint over chrome. |

That's awesome, I hope this leads to a new Sharivan because I love Kai. I wouldn't mind a new Original Gavan too.

Not trying to rain on the Metal Heroes parade, it's great that you guys get so much cool Gavan-related stuff now, but this is the second Dekaranger-related movie in recent time and yet... nothing.
I get that they don’t want to do the entire team again, and that Sentai SHF’s sell like shit apparently, but come on, can't they make DekaMaster and/or DekaSwan already? Not even as Web-Exclusives? |

I like Type G mainly because design-wise I think the subtle updates, mainly the torso armor circuitry, were done well.

This is worth bringing up in another thread as I don't want to get too off topic, but if we're going to talk about Bandai bringing back sentai figuarts, the smartest thing they could possibly do is not base decisions on a single market place, i.e. Japan. It would make far more sense to instead look at the NA market and see what would sell there. You think they would have done that after MMPR, but apparently not. So I gotta be honest in saying if Bandai was considering any Dekaranger related figuarts... as much as I want sentai back, I kinda don't want them to risk it given their track record. I'd much rather them make Ohred or Megared and see how that does via Bluefin under the PR banner, then if that does well enough maybe take on more risky endeavors. |

I'm down. I never got Type G at the time so picking him up now would be great.
I REALLY hope it's the new mould though, because the original is a POS and I really don't another one that will inevitably break on me.

With all of the Gavan stuff announced in the last couple of days, I was wondering if they'd dust off that Gavan Renewal figure. Now would be a pretty good time to release it.

Same. Both my old Gavan's had issues. I had to buy an entirely new Type G after one of his wrist pegs snapped off. And my classic Gavan had a hip assembly crack.
