I was hoping this would dig deeper into the drama between Canalo and Banba, but it didn't go as far as I had hoped. Although I don't necessarily disagree with Banba, it's nice that he acknowledged his mistake and tried to make up for it. The premise of the episode led to some great out of suit fights and a creative roll-call. Gigant KishiryuOh unfortunately doesn't look all that great to me but the fight scene was cool. Wish they had Mosarex and DimeVolcano converse about it though, seems like a missed opportunity.
Comedy was great, still continuing to love Wyzil and Kureon's banter and the punchline at the end of the episode was predictable but still funny. Next week looks like a bucket of fun too! |

I can't blame Bamba for what he did. He was being pragmatic, who knew that what he did would just make matters worse. I'm glad that they also weren't able to put the stone back together or else the tension would have disappeared.
Yeah I also liked the joke in the end. Better luck next time Canalo. And is it just me or is Ui and her father becoming quite useless story-wise. I mean other than housing the team they aren't really contributing to the story much.

Okay, I rarely comment on these episodes because I silently enjoy them every week and don’t really feel like I have to contribute much to discussions but man, this episode was great.
A unique Minosaur concept for one, but what made this episode for me was that you could really appreciate the characters even more so than usual. Their chemistry is perfect. Both the good guys and the bad guys. The action is good, but I mostly just enjoyed the characters working off each other. And the comedy was on point too, I laughed a couple of times. Plus, they hit me with this image during the preview for the next episode and I cannot help but feel some kind of connection with this show. I also wondered during this episode when they’ll pick up the thing that Ui’s dad is this mysterious masked person we saw like twice at the beginning of the show? Whenever he starts to conveniently give the Ryusoulgers exactly the clue they need I wait for them to get suspicious. |

This was an extremely strong episode, and I find myself appreciating the things Ryusoulger does right more and more as it goes along. Like the characters, for example. I instinctively lean towards shows with more three-dimensional casts, which has put me at odds with the writing in this series before, but there's absolutely something to be said for how on-point this show is when it comes to having its characters act to the traits they have. It's great that Asuna is munching on popcorn in the scene right after the opening for no particular reason. It's beyond awesome that Bamba just whips out his sword without saying a word when he walks up to that rock.
I don't think I'll ever totally be over wishing Ryusoulger was a bit more solid all around, but the particular things it excels it, it's been consistently getting even better at. I'm also finding myself consistently impressed by the creativity going into the Minusaur plots. They've really taken advantage of how different their concept is from standard Sentai monsters. And I mean, Ryusoulger's got Wyzul. So that's another point in its favor. Quote:

Actually, even with my training from Zyuohger, I've already completely forgotten what Gaisorg has done in this show so far beyond appearing.

I kinda felt the episode was rushed at a few points, other then that it was good.

Regarding the punchline at the end of the episode (kudos to whoever gets the reference):
Melt, did you hear that? Asuna, I felt that.

An alright episode. Canalo really needs to cool down. Inanimate object Minosaurs are kind of fun and 'cutting a rock in half just makes two rocks' is a valid point I suppose.
Mixed on Gigant; I do like the design but just being three parts feels like cheating. |

Man, this sentai has such a neat combining mecha gimmick. Shame they absolutely despise it.
Episode was rather uninteresting. Oh well.
