People want them, myself included, because NO figures have ever been produced based on those designs that aren't freaking mcdonalds toys. Yes these figures are also part of the terrible 5" ranger figure line, that's true. The 5" line is plain awful. But this is literally the closest thing to a nice high end release we will ever have for the movie designs. Nothing even close to this has ever been made for the original move suits before. So if I have to settle for these things to own those suits, I'm game.
"These are YOUR Power Rangers movie figures! Take them or leave it. You won't be getting anything else." I'll definitely take them. I never expected them as it was.

Which I serious still have a "WTF" vibe about. I'd rather they hint that a Legacy Thunder Megazord was coming to combine with it.

So...wanting the movie figures is dumb? I'll respectfully reject your subjective opinion and replace it with my own, thank you.

I mean that the big demand for these figures doesn't make sense because it's just a small change in the suit's design. Lots of people that I see post about the movie never really have anything positive to say about it, so what attachments do they have to the designs? Spending money for figures that have very little differences between them seems illogical & does less for the customer than that customer assumes it will. Like the whole debacle of MMPR Green's silver stripe. No matter which version you own or prefer it's still the same suit, so you're paying for extras you really don't need. Neither design is better or worse than the other, so people should be happy with what's available. Sorry if I sounded mean, it's just hard for me to comprehend this train of thought.

It's like if the MMPR/Zyu suits had toys released and the white diamonds were painted gold. It's not the primary part of the suit, and ultimately, it's the same design with a mild alteration, but it's not the design people want. You can't just say that wanting something different, regardless of how minor that difference is, is illogical. Toy collecting and nostalgia are very real things, after all.

They are. And it's not like it's a crime or anything if people do that. But if you've got a preference then why not just get that one? Why have multiples that took money & space from you? And yes, no design is truly superior or inferior to any. It's all subjective. Even if 99.99% of people like 1 look over another there will always be that other/those others that like the different look.
