It's time to unleash the power! We've got a another gallery/review from Power Rangers Super Megaforce for you! The Zeo Racer Zord!
The Zeo Racer Zord is a remold/repaint of the Delta Runner Zord based on the Pat Striker. Much of the figures functionality is the same so for the purposes of this review it will be very similar to the Delta Runner. The Zeo Racer is a completely unique and original design that Bandai of America has inserted into it's Super Megaforce line as a tribute to Power Rangers Zeo. Specifically to the Red Zeo Battlezord (Red Puncher from Ohranger). This vehicle has no counterpart in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, as the grand power of Ohranger created the Gokai Galleon Buster team weapon. Just as with the Delta Runner the Zeo Racer features the popular Zord Builder system. Though the vehicle only has two male Zord Builder pegs it has a grand total of 10 female connectors through out, allowing for a bit of mix and match play with other compatible sets. And speaking of compatible, the Delta Runner & Zeo Racer are 100% interchangeable with each other. They are the exact same mold aside from the cosmetically different cockpit and front end. A by product of the Zord Builder ports is an extra official yet unnamed mode for the vehicle. A "battle station" mode which sees the car rearranged into a missile firing turret. Included with the Zeo Racer are 2 missiles, neither of which can be stored when not in use. As pressure launch weapons they require you to use the included Zeo Red Ranger Key in the slot on the back of the turret to "activate" the firing mechanism. There is also an extra vehicle mode, just as with Delta, that requires merely removing the back wheel portions and putting them back on the opposite sides backwards. This mode is only advertised on packaging with the single word "morph". Also included is a mini-figure of the Super Mega Red Ranger. This mostly single colored figure is solid PVC and features no articulation. But just as with the Rangers included with Mystic Dragon & Delta Runner, it can peg onto the vehicle for added play. To combine with the Legendary Megazord this figure splits into 5 parts just like Delta Runner. However since the BOA line does not feature the opening compartment gimmick, these parts cannot be stored inside the Legendary Megazord when not in use. On the BOJ Gokai Oh all 5 compartments can be closed to hide the entire combo, the closest one to this being Deka Gokai Oh. But here, the Legendary Megazord's chest isn't deep enough to even allow for it to be concealed. The chest piece itself has no locking mechanism whatsoever, and actually tends to fall out all on it's own. It should also be noted that nowhere on any packaging at all is this combination given an official title, just like the other two. Considering there is no Japanese counterpart to this combo it could probably be called the Zeo Legendary Megazord or perhpas even Legendary Battlezord? Due to the nature of this sets remolds the parts can't actually be oriented in the same way they would with the Delta Runner set. The official combo via the instructions has the Megazord hold the guns by their hand pegs and the additional car halves go on the outside of the legs. Though because of the abundance of Zord Builder pegs and ports you can make up whatever you wish. As someone who was personally disappointed by Delta Runners blandness, the Zeo Racer is a VERY pleasant surprise. It appears to be a heftier toy, with more paint applications, a creative use of remolding, and some much needed originality. If you were going to get one auxiliary zord of the 3 I've handled so far, then this one by far is it. For $14.95 it's a great toy. The Zeo Racer used for this review was purchased at a Walmart in Lexington, Kentucky. Fun names for the guns Punch Guns Boxing Blasters Fist Cannons Knuckle Busters Pop Shots

This thing's the only SMF thing I have even the slightest interest in. I think its pretty fab they're doing extra Special Powers for the toyline and a homage to a rather obscure/forgettable Zeo/Ohranger mecha is awesome, in my opinion. I hope we get more, even if I don't buy them for lack of things to combine them with.
I wish the hand were removable so you could plug the gatling guns on his shoulders like the combined mode in Zeo/Ohranger. Seems like a big missed opportunity considering Zord Builder although the gatling wheels sorta give the same impression. |

The Zeo Racer Zord standalone looks bland, but combined with the SMF zord is totally rad! Doubtfully, but I like to see it in the show!

Hand Cannons
Fist Bumpers Two-Step Goodbye Lobster Rage Cannons Cog Toasters Lights Out Okay I'm done. Yeah I'll pretty much be buying the Legendary Megazord just so I can give it punching guns. Veronica would be proud. Also, which one Wal-Mart was that Den-O?

I know I'm gushing but dear lord I love what BOA is doing with this megazord. I wasn't impressed with the core Megaforce line only because they cut out Datas. I understand why but it was still a shame. This new line though is really fun and I only have the core megazord so far. I can't wait to see Silver's morpher and megazord. Here's hoping BOA keeps up the good work and get's these to Maryland retail shelves sooner rather than later.
