In honor of Power Rangers 20th anniversary Tokunation brings you this very special gallery of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Original Dino Megazord! This special gallery compares the Original Deluxe Megazord (Daizyujin for JP fans) to the scaled down version released by Bandai US in 2010! Does the 2010 version stack up to the original? Has the original stood the test of time? Check out our full 14 image side-by-side comparison gallery of the 2 and decide! (2010 version on the left, original on the right)

I'm gonna say I like the 2010 version better. I just prefer the more streamlined proportions, plus I like the mix 'n' match gimmick (really hope they keep that up with Megaforce :P)

This reminds me how much I need to reprolabel up my 1993 Megazord.
Great gallery, as I've never seen the 2010 version in person before it was interesting to see just how different the proportions are.

Man I wish I had a complete 1993 MMPR Megazord. Somehow I lost the mastodon body, but not his head, so I have an armless Megazord. Though I am glad I have the chromed, pointed sword version of him.

Pretty bummed I never inherited the original toy from a cousin. I played with that thing so much... "borrowed" it plenty too. But eventually it was left with him and I don't know what became of it. Playing with that thing and watching reruns of MMPR got me into PR and truly helped fuel my current interest.
That said, I think the 2010 version looks like a fantastic toy too. It recreates the concept well and the size differences aren't too drastic IMO. Had I been a fan then, I wouldn't have been surprised if I had picked it up. |

I ended up getting my 2010 Megazord for free in a trade, MMPR toys back then in Canada were disney store exclusive. So I would've had to pay a huge mark up on it.

With the inclusion of the Soul of Chogokin Daizyujin / Megazord would there be a gallery update to get the Original, 2010, and then that one?
