So far the only real monstrous villains seen in the lightning collection has been Goldar and Lord Zedd. Hasbro should put out line of power rangers monsters that maybe wouldnt fit into the lightning collection packaging. they could be deluxe monsters, come with loads of accessories. I'm talking monsters like the King Sphinx, Pudgy Pig, Terror Toad, Master Xandred, King Mondo, or Emperor Mavro.
I'd also love a Scorpina Twopack where you get her and her Monster form |

I'd also love a Scorpina Twopack where you get her and her Monster form I often envisioned such a line back when Bandai had the license. In the '90s, they produced a plethora of monsters, but eventually reduced the scope to recurring villains and Mooks. By Dino Charge, we went back to monsters. I was after a 5 inch line to pair with Bandai's older figures, but Hasbro's 6 inch standard will have to suffice. I do believe that Hasbro should focus on those who never got a figure before, be it by Bandai or Hasbro. I do fear that some designs may not translate well when realized as molded plastic, but that's another issue altogether. As you implied, it also shouldn't be relegated to Mighty Morphin' either! Let every season get in on this. Even the BOOM! Monsters shouldn't be exempt. |

How many people would actually buy these, is the thing?
I see a lot of clamouring for it from a few people but I don't think there's been too much thought into it. The more prominent monsters, ie the main villains? Sure, I could see enough popularity in characters like Mesogog and one of Venjix's forms. But when you're talking about pouring money and resources into a unique mold for a larger-than-usual figure which is a monster of the week that no-one but a few hardcore people in the fandom would remember and even fewer would buy... like, I don't wanna be a downer here, but at some point you kinda have to be a bit more realistic. At best only main villains, maybe a few notable MOTWs and a couple MMPR designs would ever have a chance. There's just no sense in doing unique molds of and filling waves with the likes of pumpkin rapper and drilltron.

The Mighty Morphin' Monsters and various Generals are the likely bet, I admit. Some, like Mut-Orgs, could be just iconic enough to justify a figure. Most would be 6 inches, which is the Hasbro standard. Some, like Cyclopsis or the Ten Terrors or the Gigadrones, could be sized for Megazords. Also, the franchise hasn't hesitated to recycle suits over the years. If you make a figure for Mighty Morphin' Grumble Bee, doesn't that mean you can recycle the mold for In Space Waspicable? Do Silverhorn, and you can also get Repellator. Do Varox Bounty Hunter, and you get In Space Electrotramp from the Ninja Turtles episode. Psycho Red's Monster Form can give you Ghouligan from Lightspeed Rescue's debut episode. Snizzard gives you Ryan's Cobra Monster. (Armored) Fearcat Mig gives you Galaxy Warriors Korvaka. Hasbro has a history of making new characters out of old molds, and the franchise they purchased has a habit of following a similar methodology! http://www.morphinlegacy.com/power-r...he-monster-mix |

And how many people could recognise those random MOTWs, let alone want to own them when they're already clamouring to complete teams. Like, it's great to dream, but monsters are both more expensive to make and a harder sell than the general ranger figures, so a whole line of them, many having been seen in one episode in 25 years? It's just not gonna happen.

Zyu2 Monsters may have been produced by Toei, but they're exclusive to Mighty Morphin', making them part of the franchise in a way which differs from Sentai-adapted Monsters. If Hasbro started doing more original footage and original stories, then these guys could come back with newly produced suits which can get increased advertisement via the toyline. Anytime a Mook or villain returns in Sentai, then that can also be used as justification for producing a new figure. Anytime the show itself reflects on its past and reminds everyone of a villain they forgot, then that serves as justification for a figure. Plus, if the rumor that Hasbro wants to break from Toei and do its own thing is true (I don't believe it is), then Hasbro would have to produce new suits on their own dime, and using older villain designs would be convenient. If an older and Not-Sentai villain becomes a significant part of a new season, then that justifies new figures, based on the older and newer versions. It might be "Unlikely", but it's never "Not gonna happen"! |

Main season villains I think have a better shot than any MOTW
But, a multipack of Squatt/Baboo/Finster/Rita re-release could work because MMPR |

It's same reason MMPR characters will always be at the forefront, whether one likes it or not. They're the most well known, and they continue to sell the most. Not only would totally random MOTW not sell nearly as well, but they'd also be alot more expansive to make ontop of that. Sure, there's a chance we'll eventually get figures of the more well known ones(Pumpkin Rapper, Pudgy Pig, etc.) but that'd be about it. An entire line dedicated to them would basically be dead on arrival. Would I personally like to see some of them be made into figures? Absolutely. I'd love to have a figure of the Knasty Knight, for example. But is it very likely, and is it very practical? No.
