I need a Third Party to step up. Plenty of Toku opportunities. Samurai Megazord, for example. Someone like CrazyDevy can step in. Make a show accurate sword, make Ape in Origami mode for GigaZord. So you dont have this giant arm sticking off his ankle... Thanks Bandai.
For older toys to. I can think of four mechs off the top of my head that need articulated hands, knees, ankles, something. Or, how about better more show accurate arms for Blue Mode Time Force Megazord. Instead of the stumps we got instead. Am I alone in this? |

Personally I'm not a fan of third party toys. I can see why people love them don't get me wrong, but for those on limited budgets they're extremely overpriced and (the way the Transformers ones are mostly going) often unnecessary.
I'd rather see Bandai stepping up their game (and SDCC showed that they are capable of it when they want to) than see third parties enter the fray.

as an active...or over active...transformers fan there are different directions to the third party...Groups like Crazy Devy or Corbot V make accessories to improve the G1 stuff, that I love...(Corbot War Axe, greatest ever) Make Toys and of course Fansprojects are examples that are more more re-doing what should have been done, like the Bruiticus, Isecticons, and of course Hercules and Giant. With the former group I can scrap together cash for new leg connectors, or a big ole sword...THAT would be the kind of 3rd party I would want to work with the Sentai stuff, to re make stuff? oh lord no...Sentai fans are broke enough when they import lol. Aside from swords, shields, I don't think the 3rd party crew is going to hit this market...

I'm not comfortable with the idea of 3rd party Toku items. It's unneeded drama we don't really need. Hasbro will most likely stick with flooding the market with BBs, but when you think about it tokusatsu fans have it good. Figuarts, DX Kyodai Robos, S.I.C., Figmas to a lesser extent.
Plus the candy toys are articulated and in some cases, have better proportions than the larger versions. I'm with ZeoRangerV on this. Bandai is more than capable of stepping up their game. I'd rather everyone has the chance at awesome toys than a slim margin with the money to share. One more thing I want to add: No chance of Toei bailing due to 3rd party interference. |

I'm not sure...If Bandai could step up, they would. Most of their combining mecha transform in such a manner that an elbow and knee wouldn't interfere or look unnatural, yet they still stick with just "Arm forward, leg forward (Sometimes)."
I would never spend a dime on a 3rd Party zord (3rd party TFs going for $100 a pop, I shudder to think how much they'd charge for a megazord), but I wouldn't be opposed to someone actually try making them. |

My other issue would probably be aesthetics.
For example, a 3rd party Kakure Daishogun would be more like "Kakure Daishogun as misinterpreted by S.I.C." and I'm not sure how'd I feel about that. |

Toei's lawyers would shut down everything in a heartbeat.
