I'm torn.
I was recommended by many of you to check it out for it's more mature (and dare I use the following term) "darker" atmosphere. I like what the first episode gave me, but I think the set-up was very ... weak. There's no introduction to characters, they're just ... there. G3 got the most characterization, but Agito didn't get squat - don't even know who he is yet. Will watch a few more episodes. I hope this series gets better, first episode wasn't bad but if the rest are just like it, I don't know if I'll enjoy it. |

Agito has a notoriously slow start but it grows into arguably the best Kamen Rider series of the Hesei Era.

Not every Rider show hits its stride right out of the gate, just give it time, it gets better.

Incidentally I just watched the first 3 episodes of Agito this week. I actually really dig the darker tone of the series. And I LOVE that G3 really steals the show. I find Agito's design to be a bit boring and generic but G3 looks fantastic and has awesome characterization so far. I think it's an awesome change-up to see the secondary rider be introduced before the main character. I think it has a slow start as well but so far, if for nothing else than the awesome of G3, I'm enjoying myself.

Give it a couple episodes, you'll get a much deeper introduction to the characters and the show's central mysteries soon enough.

G3s story is pretty much the driving force of the show in the beginning, at least thats how it seems so far (in to as far as TVNihon has subbed). i care alot more about what happens to hikawa than i do about whatshisface Agito or freakin Gills.
